Default I was thinking....

I know some of the Calguns.net members have already contacted their legal reps....

While, I know it would be quite cool to be named "individual" vs. Lockyer et al (think about it, your name in case law as a pro 2nd amend person), if the Cal DoJ follows as per its written notice. Imagine the impact if every person (of whom are citizen's or legal resident aliens of CA and the United States) who purchased a stripped lower be named as a plantiff?

I believe (on a conservative side) at least 3,000 people purchased a stripped lower. WOW, what a statement, 3k people vs Lockyer. No longer would it be an individual, to which the media can have a field day on, and claim that they are a "gun nut", "milita member", "crazed psycho path",....(well pick up the LA times or something you will get more phrases). No longer will elected officials, much less those wishing to be elected, dismiss this issue (not to forget the whole 2nd Amend thing in thats pesky Constitution), but have their policy people go nuts trying to find the right tone to settle all the natives. With 3k law abiding gun owners making a ruckuss, I would think that the NRA, CRPA (heck language in that notice threatens all self loading rifle owners), ACLU (in my most wildest wet dream) would take notice and throw their political weight. I GUESS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT WE (AT LEAST I) DO NOT WISH TO BE DISMISSED. WE HAVE FOLLOWED THEIR RULES (DOJ). WE HAVE FOLLOWED THEIR LAWS (CA STATE). THERE COMES A TIMES WHERE EVEN A TIRED SICK OLD DOG WILL FIGHT BACK. PERHAPS FOR US CALI PEOPLE THIS IS THAT TIME.

Speaking of the ACLU and what not, I wonder what the CA DoJ Civil Rights division thinks of this. I mean, on prima facie its a violation on the very basis of our form of government. What, you might ask? Well, the Three Branches of Government! It is something we have learned as children (or for those new this country something you will learn in citizenship classes). Apparently everyone in the Firearms division was asleep that day! The King is dead, long live the King!

Anyhow, I guess I should stop sputtering.....

Speaking of which, am I the only one whose evening was ruined by this? Something about dinner...something about drinks....

Cheers,

Tom
