Default Good Deal or not? Win 1300 Defender $180

Ran across a guy near Barstow selling his Defender Winchester 1300 pump, 8 round, blue, 3 months old, used only twice, he has to move and wanted $180 obo.

I've got an 870 and a Mossberg pump, but never had a Winchester pump, any thoughts on these, desireability, reliability, are the barrels readily interchangeable for the Defender, Black Shadow, Buck and Turkey models?

Barstow's a drive for me, but I've traveled further for less! Yes I can research it on the net, but wanted some input from guys here too, thanks for any input you might be able to give.

That's a great price, and it's a good shotgun - smooth and fast cycling. Typically, clean, low-mileage ones go for around $250 in this neck of the woods.

Only problem is that Winchester's shutting down, and it's not clear what the long-term support for it will be, but there are plenty of them around for now.

Thanks Max, I thought it was a good deal but didn't know just how good it was. I was sorry to hear about Winchester.

Two round trips to Barstow for a FTF is a bit too much from my locale, and an FFL to FFL transfer will add too much to make it a good deal for me.

I've suggested that he post his SG here, but don't know if he will find his way to Calguns. If anyone should want his contact info feel free to PM me.

$180 is a very good price if the gun is in reasonable condition.

Heck if he'd meet me in Lancaster I'd buy it just becasue its a good deal.

The barrels are not interchangeable with the others in the 1300 series. I've called winchester about that before.
I've got a 1300 defender with a SpecOps stock and I like it alot. I think that is a good deal for $180
