always blows me away how those are legal but SBR's are not.

Anschutz Exemplar. This one's not legal in Cali either. It's got a magazine external to the grip.

No pics yet, but i got 4 ar pistols coming, couldnt pass up the consecutives number lowers.

why wouldn't it be legal? Detachable magazines outside the pistol grip are only regulated on semi-automatic handguns. The Exemplar appears to be a bolt-action handgun, which can have all the evil features it wishes.

OK, I see, you didn't mean "not legal in CA" as in it was illegal to possess, because it itsn't illegal. That exact handgun can be possessed in CA without any modifcations needed.

You meant "because it isn't on the roster, it may be hard to acquire". The fact that it has a magazine outside the grip has nothing to do with it not being listed on the roster.

note that both pistols shown in the OP have magazines outside the grip, but they are legal in CA because they aren't semi-auto pistols that have detachable magazines outside the grip.
