The Timney will fit into both the 10 and 15 lowers. I think the difference between the Ar10 and 15 models is the spring (stronger spring in the AR10 model) and possibly the shape of the hammer (it may be a bit more robust).
Nicer .308 match ammo will probably fire just fine with the ar15 model Timney. But, mil surp. and cheaper brands (wolf...) may use cheaper, harder primers which may require a stronger spring. (I know that some 7.62x39 kits for the ar15 come with different trigger springs. And for some ammo types we actually had to swap the spring in to get cheap, bulk stuff to fire properly.) |

The AR10 bolt uses a captive firing pin (spring) which generally requires a heavy hammer to effectively ignite 7.62 primers. 308 win ammo should be no problem with that timney unit. Surplus ammo....maybe not.
You're doing right to get the Timney AR10 set for an AR10. If you have a DPMS style upper (LR308), there's less need for a heavy hammer, as they don't use a captive spring (it's just like the AR15 arrangement) |

It is the 3 lb small hole trigger. This is for the ar15 and not the Ar10. The Ar10 trigger has a heavier hammer and spring. You will get light strikes if you put this in a ar-10. I already purchased the ar10 trigger and it works incredible. I have tried giselle triggers as well and i'm very happy with timney for less money..
