Sweet looking setup, looks heavy though...

Well, I went to see Mike (from CSGW) planning to buy the surefire m910a, but he said he liked these better, and, after a quick comparison test, I left with this. Considering it uses a lot of the same materials as the surefire and the fact that the AR platform has very little recoil. I don't think I'll have any problems. I'm going to try it out this morning so we'll see...

I haven't weighed it. It looks heavy, but it's still maneuverable (and those lights give me great night maneuverability).

It is the correct color. It's LaRue's new color scheme called UDE (Urban Dark Earth), as it's closer to the tan on the Army's ACU uniform. Basically a cross between FDE and Foliage Green.

Thanks for the comments! The rifle actually looks waaaay better in person

I have seen the UDE in photos but it always seemed darker in the pics, if it is that shade you have thats a really nice color, espically since everything is the same shade. Ive seen rifles with different shades of the same color and it just doesnt look right. Great choice on the color and setup.

Nice NiteQuil, I was going to comment on the color also. Then that is Duracoat? Sticks to plastic as good as it sticks to metal?

Default I can finally post here!

I just finished my build last night! A Lauer Custom Weaponry (LCW) lower with a Stag LPK, CMMG mid-length lightweight upper, CAA stock and A.R.M.S. low profile folding rear sight. I plan to put one of the Vortex's on there as soon as I get it. Also plan to get a different handguard, something with a pic rail so I can mount my grip-pod on there! That'll be later, when I can find a good deal on one.

Still haven't brought it to the range yet, but I think she looks mah-velous! (Sorry for the poor pics)

Here she is:

and the lower:

did you build this or buy it straight up just like that O.o?? very nice

thanks.. I will try to snap photo, but it might be kind of tough. IIRC, I think I even saw some photos on Google maybe that someone took. I can tell you this, photo or not, the reticle is NOT a blob at all. since the Aimpoint is in front, and the eotech reticle is essentially a holograph that visually sits out in front of the sight on your target, this system does exactly what you think and expect, it just blows up the background object(s) whilst leaving the dot just as you would expect with no distortion at all - if not, what would be the point. it is awesome and great for me above 100 yards.

this explains it best "The unique Holographic technology allows the center dot to remain 1 moa in size, while the angular size of the target is magnified"
