Does that muzzle brake require battery's or vibrate?

This is the bizness right here. Tactical scope with winged light and laser and a nice front heavy faux suppresor.

Actually guys it was not the mean comments that made me change out my muzzle brake. I realized that the barrel was not free floating with that suppressor (it was touching the quad rails). I used a 18" barrel just so I can get the maximum range out of the gun without it being too long. So with the setup you see now I was able to hit metal targets at 600 yards out!!. I also ordered a nice Redfield BattleZone 3-9X scope to change out this cheap Barska scope although it was the scope I used to hit the 600yrd targets.

BTW: I didn't take any of those comment personally....

This was my first AR build and I was going for more FLASH than function, but I realized soon enough that will not work.

keep them comment coming!!!!! ....

here is what all the fuzz was about:

I built mine for fun. May swap the barrel and bolt and go to 6.8 though. I also regularly bring my rifle with me when upland bird hunting in case I see a hog. Within 50-75yds this thing will drop a hog cold and accurately too. Much lighter than my 8lb bolt-action rifle and it fits in my backpack, so I may end up bringing it with me instead of the trusty Ruger M77.

Yup, and having a blast doing it.

'MURICA!!

Also, FWIW out of a 7.5" barrel, you're still pushing a 65gr bullet 2250 FPS. Compare that to the .22WMR's 30gr @ 2200 FPS or 50GR @ 1600 FPS. I'll take the .223 short barrel any freaking day.

Midwest Industries. I have one on my 6.8 rifle and it is amazing. Super light, very small diameter, and looks badass.

Thanks! And nice rifle!

Yeah, lightweight is the route that I'm trying to take with my build.

Thanks. Lightweight is definitely the way to go. Some rifles feel great when they have some weight to them but I truly believe an AR should be featherlight. I weighed mine on the bathroom scale at just over 5lbs unloaded and can hold it out one-handed with ease. My stock S&W M&P-15 Tactical makes my arm shake when holding it out.

Looking for opinions on bridging the rail gap with my red dot.

I read mostly bad, but no one has had any issues running their optics like this, so I'm not entirely sure on the debate.

Anyone on here have issues?

No pistol grip, no collapsing stock, no flash suppressor, and NO BULLET BUTTON.

Your clamp is actually still on the upper receiver so no worries. I've never seen an issue with this but have seen issues with folks mounting their stuff on handguards (i.e. wandering zero).

Ight, cool. I was about to get rid of my iron sights... no "back up" sights then... although I highly doubt I'll ever be in a situation where I would need a back up of anything. Lol.

Even if part of the mount was on the rail as long as the bolt/locking lever was on the upper you would be fine too.

I'm contemplating on selling my BUIS.

They weren't cheap and would rather sell to someone that would actually put them to use.

I have never used them, they just lay down on my rail. Lol.

Lilja 24" 1-8 barrel, chambered in a modified Wylde by me, headspaced and crowned by me.
JD lower.
Spikes upper.
Heavily modded mil spec trigger @ 1.5lbs. non-rotating pins.
Swarovski 6-18x50 scope.
So many other mods I forget them all, rest assured it is tweaked twisted and bent.
Since this pic was taken (with a crappy arsed cellphone) I have changed to a seekins forearm and a GG&G bipod (Harris sucks for any real precision).

Result ?
She'll shoot 3/8"......at 200 yards
Usually fed with 80gr. AMAX's @ 2700 fps'ish.
