Default What are the best 6.8 SPC magazines?

I've found four manufactures for 10 round 6.8 SPC mags...

C-products $12.99

Promag $20.21

PRI $35.90

Armalite $42

Is there any reason not to go with the cheap C-Products mags? Or any particular reason to go for the more expensive PRI or Amalite?
I'd prefer to go Pmag but AFAIK they do not make any 6.8 SPC compaible mags yet. Suggestions?

I have about a dozen of the CProducts 6.8 mags and rebuild kits in different capacities. They are stainless steel and seem to work pretty well so far. I keep hearing that the Barret 30 rounders are the best 6.8 mags out there followed closely by PRI. I have not heard anything good about the Promags and the CProducts are the Walmart of mags, but again they seem to work and serve their purpose well.

PRI's are the best. Barrett doesn't make any 10 rounders and PMag won't make any cuz it won't have enough wall thickness to be durable.

The answers you got here are consistent with all the 6.8SPC AR owners responses at 68Forums. More than that they are also consistent with my own findings.
The CProducts mags I have used in my own 6.8SPC AR all developed an issue with the feed lips becoming spread too far apart (after multiple loadings it happens...trust me). This becomes a major annoyance because the first round you load will want to pop out of the mag on it's own. An even bigger annoyance is after shooting (if you hold the first one in as you load more on top of it) 9 rounds the bolt will lock open, and you'll have that 10th (first into the mag) round floating in the rifle just above the mag.
i.e. After the 9th round fires the rifle cycles, and as soon as the bolt clears the mag going backwards the 10th round pops out of the mag. The carrier catches the follower on the mag locking open, and you have a live round in the rifle just clanking around.
I have tried to bend the feed lips back in but they always stretch back to this issue.
Buy PRI, and don't look back.

Is that elaborate enough?

have you looked into the stag mags? Stag is a great product that is a sole AR company. They have a 6.8 mag

All my C-Products .223 mags are great. Don't have any experience with the 6.8 though.
