For someone from CA to go to NV and ftf cash and carry a handgun like this is a violation of CA & federal law. It must be shipped to a CA dealer for proper dealer transfer & paperwork.
DONT go to Nevada and cash & carry a handgun... Highly illegal.. However it is perfectly legal for a nevada resident to meet and do a ftf..

Also, you also only need to be 18 to buy a handgun from a private party in NV.. just FYI..

I understand that but I was trying to sell this to a Californian, Its a CA gun and Id like to keep it that way. NV has plenty of guns,CA needs all the help it can get.

Does it matter which state a California Resident is in when s/he purchases a gun as long as s/he doesn't take physical possession of it without the usual procedures? Maybe the seller imagines something like: 1. Interested CA buyer comes visiting NV seller 2. Goods are inspected and/or tested in the immediate presence 3. Buyer pays cash and does not touch the firearm again 4. Seller ships to CA 01 FFL (possibly via NV FFL*) * CA FFL may choose to only accept from other 01 FFL 5. CA buyer goes home and pays usual DROS + FFL transfer fees CA buyers have purchased from out-of-state before (like all of our friendly out-of-state CalGuns-affiliated vendors - thank you!) but it definitely needs to go to a CA FFL and from what I understand CA doesn't allow PPT for non-residents, so it's just like buying online/phone from step 3 onwards? Free bump for wacky hijinks. (Mods: delete/move this as necessary.) -- I am not a lawyer. This is not legal advice. --- |

I'm just trying to help out you Californians (I used to be one). I'm not trying to brake the law or get anyone in trouble. If its that much trouble to sell a firearm back to the state it originally came from then Ill just sell it here. but If someone is interested in making me an offer and willing to drive out here and getting a good deal on a nice gun, I would be more than happy to do whatever it takes to help the buyer legally transfer it.
