Usually there's not a "spot" that dictates when something will be done. It's just kinda a free for all.

Remember to plan your trip so that around lunch time you are at the sphinx, because then you can go to KFC for lunch!

Hello
So is there still space in this build? I just picked up a AK parts kit from a fellow calgunner ... I'm new to this whole process... I'd like to attend and try to build my rifle ... or am I better off having it sent out to be built?
I have a NDS-5 receiver and a yugo M70B1 kit ...

I can use the help building ...just dont want to get in the way of the people that know whats up...

Also I know I'll need to get complience parts ... any recomendations on which vendors have good product at reasonable prices

Thanks Alex

Hi alex,

There should be room. once the date is set(looks like the 13th) I will post up all the payment info, and then we go from there. definatley do it yourself...its more rewarding, and im sure cost efficient.

I knew nothing in august, went to my first build party, and the second time around I knew how to do it myself. Btw, I left that 1st build party w/ a gun that fully functioned. its not a guarantee but it is def. possible.

you have some time before it goes down, so use it to do research and if you want it to be fun...try to de-mill your parts BEFORE the party so your not spending half the day doing it at the party.

hit up duraglock for your parts. he will bring them to the bp for you.

Hey Alex! Cool that you're going to host yet another gig with jigs! Your last party, and first- I think, was awesome! Anyway, let me know if there is room for an old guy with a few odds and ends to share, trigger jig, 12 ton, mapp gas, etc.

Is there still room for potential builders? It looks like most tools are covered but I have a nice big park tank that is perfect for dipping AKs so I could bring that for those who need to park rifles. The only problem I have is coming across a decent price, original barrel 74 kit before then. I've been searching some other forums and others have pointed me to certain places (thanks gow) but I have yet to get anything at a good price yet. I might have to bite the bullet and over-pay for an original barrel kit or buy a kit for 2-250 and put in the extra leg work to fit the barrel/gas system etc...

Its pretty simple really. First and foremost, do some research on the web about building ak's ,what ak variants are there, etc. look for a kit that you want(louscamaro91,that has a post on this page, has a couple romanian kits he's selling) buy it, and a receiver flat, and compliance parts. demill your kit and build it at the party

I know it doesnt make too much sense now, but take these terms to google and you will learn alot. PLUS there will be enough brains here to pick at as well.

btw. at this time I am not allowing spectators who are not accompanied with a builder so that I may have room for builders; however when the date gets closer if there is room I will accomodate lone spectators.
