anyone local could help me with a simple task that escapes me? I'm in Roseville and having a hard time getting the roll pin installed to hold the gas tube in my gas block on my AR. If anyone has experience and the proper tools and could take a few minutes to help me out it would be greatly appreciated. A 6 pack of your choice would be included.

PM me please

Thanks,

Seth

I'm Eric in South Sac. Have lived here about 3.5 years, moved up from San Jose. Before that, Chico & Oroville, where I had no problem getting a CCW permit. Anybody try the Sac Sheriff website for scheduling a interview with a detective? The schedule's booked up through the end of 2012. I emailed their office and asked if they'll get help or something, they said no, that I need to check the schedule regularly to see if anybody cancelled, thereby freeing up an appointment time.

Nevertheless, I will continue to carry. My wife and I found a guy in our trunk one day shortly after moving here. Alive. Your basic Sac crackhead. He must've snuck in there the night before. I would've shot him on the spot except multiple bystanders noticed him at the same time we did, opening the trunk to put in groceries at the grocery store parking lot.

Always lock your car doors. Somebody might mistake your trunk for a cozy home.

Default Greetings from Sacramento

New shooter in the Sacramento area. I've put less than 1,000 rounds through my Glock 21SF so far. Love it.

Self/home defense and general target practice. Would be interested in tactical training and possibly competition. Also interested in long-range rifle shooting in the future.

Have shot at The Gun Room (Elk Grove) and Cordova. Will visit Sac Valley (Ione) this weekend. Looking forward to learning all I can.

PS. Username is a nod to Pulp Fiction fandom.

Hi all,

Returning to the shooting hobby after a few years off. Live in Folsom. I shoot at Sacvalley. Its a great range. Primarily I like action and defensive pistol shooting. I do some hunting and rifle work as well. I would like to do some mid and long range rifle shooting in order to improve my skillz.
Will be getting more involved with IDPA at sac valley and possibly IPSC again. looking for shooting buddies in the area interested in using bays at sacvalley for holster work and action pistol practice. I will be at sacvalley this weekend probably both days unless work calls.

cheers,

Hello, how do you like Vepr .308? I am considering the hunter version. Everyone told me to buy Garand, so I did. But I might buy the Vepr next month.

Roy here, been into guns for a few years now. Do not own one at the moment, but am working on getting my hands on a few over the next few months.
As far as hobbies, I love photography (wildlife, sports and macro mostly), mild off-roading (nothing too extreme), SF Giants baseball and enjoying time with my family.

Michael, Roseville,
I have hand guns and AR's but my heart is into long distance, you'll probably find me behind the counter at one of the many stores popping up,
I'm always involving myself in new projects starting buisnesses, and plaguing the world with my existence

MIAMIbaseballer- My name is Eric. I'm from Folsom, but live in Miami right now playing baseball. I'm very into guns, mostly handguns. Own quite a few for my young age. I have my license in FL and carry a G19. I'm very knowledgeable on most handguns especially Glocks. I shoot up in Sly Park about once a week when I'm in Cali...I use to race motocross when I lived in AZ before my baseball career took off. If you have kids and would like some lessons, send me a PM. I'm going to start reloading when I get back in a couple months. Anyone with a Dillon xl650 I'd love to see it in action and learn a few things...

Hi Miami. Where do you go in sly park? I just went up there this weekend and stopped at a random spot. I just wonder where the good range spots are.

Also anyone heading to Reno for this weekends GSSF match? Thinking of heading up for Saturday.

Hey DZ, I go to a few places up there. I take old Mormon Emigrant trail up around the lake and keep driving. It's hard to explain each place but there's a lot of nice private secluded places to shoot up there. Just spend some time exploring. Maybe when I'm back in a couple months, we can meet up and shoot....
