Total badassness. Having ~200 people shooting it out in a MOUT site in the middle of Ft. Hood. . . with simulated artillery rounds going off between buildings during the middle of a firefight. . . smoke grenades popping off to cover advances and withdrawals. . . skirmish lines opening up on the opfor's flank at the most opportune time. . . tracer rounds flashing during the night. . . our squad even pulled a rendition of the "Tears of the Sun" last year (except for the backwards Aimpoint). . .

I generally go for the camaraderie though. . . its a treat for me to go back to TX every year and just hang out with friends. . .

What made you decide to go with the 40 4" for your first firearm?

I chose the 45 5" as I wanted something with stopping power as well as a little more precision. I actually had the gun guy trying to find me a 45 4" in his warehouse when I saw the 5" and said "Changed my mind, I want this one".

Well my dad has and XD 9 5" and I'm not really a fan of the 5". I wanted some stopping power also so I went with the 40. The 40 just felt good In my hand.

"Big" C

32
La Habra resident (Whittier raised)
Married, 1 child
I've got about 10 years doing finance for SoCal Non-Profit Orgs , just about 3 at management level.

Interests:

Spending time with my daughter (Daddy's little girl...15 months)
Golf (I currently play r7's, 2-3x a month usually at Dad Miller...took Pop to 08 US Open for Dad's day, we were part of the sea of ppl that roared when Tiger sent it to Monday golf)
Guns, duh (only 4 guns, all this year though...a pair of inox Berettas from a recent CG deal, walther g22, mossberg 500 tac)
Sneakers (I never gave up the Air Jordan habit that started in my youth, sue me)
Serious sports fan (Lakers, Dodgers, Cowboys...all of them for life, all since birth)
Fishing (novice, i do it for the beer and quiet time outdoors)
Gaming (pm me for psn, any gamers...I mostly play tournament style Madden during the season and the occasional shooter)
Gambling (pretty much, if i'm a fan of it or I play it...I like to lay money on it)

Good to be here on CalGuns...I stopped by the CG booth at Ontario last month, dropped a few bucks for the cause but didn't introduce myself. Not only was the booth way busy with the CG crew answering questions and signing people up, but I had a buddy with me who was rushing me out so he could get to work.

Feel free to shoot me a PM ( pun intended), anyone who's in my area and looking for a fourth on the golf course (or 3rd, or 2nd...for that matter), the poker table, or anything else on my list.

Yo. Tustin, CA here. Born and raised in OC.

VERY different from the typical person in OC.

Mr. teamwork/trustworthy

Interests: Motorcycles, Guns, Internetz, Prepping, Learning.

Motivators: Mark Levin, Michael Savage, Gerald Celente

Woke up a little late: Oct 2008... the day that Paulson stated... "You know what, I know you gave me $787 billion for troubled assets, but you know what... we need to fund "X" instead.

Building up my community so that we have each other's cell phone numbers, and each other's trust. As things get worse, will implement a contingency plan for the neighborhood.

I am preparing for cell phones not working within 2 yrs... amongst other luxuries.

@ WantA223, welcome! Awesome that there's more shooters in Tustin. I think you are right about the cell phones, we must not be so dependent on them in the long run. I'm thinking two-way radios with rechargeable batts (exact specs I am not sure of, but preferrably mil-spec and not costly).

@ junko p Omg I'm dying to get me a G35, shame I'm doing layaway on an Arsenal SLG-21 Ak-47 AND a Kimber Custom II TLE/RL 1911 at the same time... ...In good time, in good time... a Glock 35 will be MINE! >=]
