Here are my pictures from the days events.... both of the before and after of the clean, and some of the shooting fun!

Thanks again for all that came out!

Sorry for the weird looking washed out pics, I had my camera on a weird setting for most of the time... oops

Default glass factory

I was born and raised in Santa Barbara and I have many fond memories of the glass factory-it wasn't so named for nothing!

I want to personally thank all those who participated in the cleanup- as someone that still cruises east and west Camino Cielo and camps in the Los Padres Forest, I am grateful that you all took the time to keep such a beautiful area clean AND accessible for shooters-we don't need excuses for them to shut down open shooting areas because of pollution-Thanks you and I will be heading out there to enjoy some shooting soon!
I live in L.A. now I and haven't been out for awhile

You know, im sitting here drinking coffee at work, and i am saving some pics and sending em to my parents and a few coworkers that flaked on coming with us and its just absolutely amazing how much we did that day.

I mean, seeing the pics later that day or yesterday, it was still fresh in my mind, but coming in and revisiting them - wow.

Again - thanks to all that showed up

Props to all that did the work on cleaning up the range. It looks amazing now! So great to see people taking care of a valuable resource.

Awesome job....it's always refreshing to see that place looking good.

Did you guys make an agreement for the ranger to have all that trash hauled out?

I have not heard back from the member who said they contact rangers. Anyone?

I purchased www.SBGlassFactory.com/.org/.net/.info this morning and I will be adding pictures, info and upcoming events to it this evening.

That way it will be easy for everyone to keep track of whats going on!

I have a complaint with those photos. You made me look old and fat.

Of course, the fact that I AM old and fat has nothing to do with it.... nothing at all.

Great job all.

We should BBQ next time!

I was out at the Glass Factory in the early, misty hours of this morning. The trash pile is still there, and the range itself once again looks like the aftermath of an exploded trash compactor. Some of the larger items (like the surfboard) which had been carried to the pile are now once again fixtures out on the range. Someone has also added an exercycle... I guess someone gave up early on their New Years resolution :P

Tried to pick up what I could before we started shooting, but it was very wet and visibility was extremely limited (couldn't see the first "hump" from the firing line) so we didn't want to be wandering around downrange.

Thats ok.... Glass Factory clean n shoots will become a regular thing!

Anybody heading out on this weekend? I was planning on Sat morning but the weather doesn't seem to be cooperating. When is the next clean up? I would be up for helping out. I've also got a truck that we could use to get rid of some of the trash bags.

I went to the glass factory today, and was in the best shape I have ever seen it. There was of course lots of little ****, like broken clays and stuff on the ground, but barely any large items. I could really tell you guys had been there in the last month. Congrats on the good effort.
