Default AR-15 Lower Pin size.

Im in the process of pricing out and learning how to build an AR-15. I found a Stag ARMS AR-15 stripped lower that im interested in. The listing says: "Stag Stripped Lower. 223/556, AR-15 LOWER RECEIVER. FORGED FROM 7075 T6 ALUMINUM. 5.56MM. SMALL PIN." my question is what does "Small pin" mean? is pin size something that i need to worry about? What pin sizes are there?

Almost all lowers are "small pin" these days, it's pretty much the norm. The older Colt lowers are the only exception I can think of, but I'm sure someone else will chime in shortly with more info!

Colt pin dia = .176"
pretty much every other maker's dia = .156"

Random link from Midway for visual clarity/more info:

.154 trigger / hammer pin
.25 front pivot pin

Get any LPK that is not made for "Colt large pin" and you will be okay.
