Exclamation Unbelievable: Sig P250 added to the roster!!!

I don't understand how that happened, because it seems it has neither mag disconnect nor LCI

Good stuff.

Now the question is: How does the modular nature of the pistol affect the availability of calibers?

The only listed model is 9mm, but could it just as well be .45 since the serialized part has no effect on caliber?

Great discovery! In one hour and 19 minutes it will be legal! I want one!

Couldn't you buy it as a 9mm and adjust the caliber as you wish. They are just parts, same receiver, right? Just like you can alter a .223 to fire .22 cal.

Interesting. I'm not going to get one, but I really want to know how Sig get it up to the roster.

Sig now sells P250 "2 Sum" which is a kit that includes the FCG, sub-compact and full size grips and slides. Two guns in one!!!!! Runs about $850

So anyone know a good source for 10 round magazine or how to make one?

seems like .45acp conversion holds 9 rounds.

According to Sig, the frame of the compact P250 changed in late November. It is possible they made some changes to make it legal in California. Don't really know, but I doubt it is a coincidence.

The 9mm and .45 platforms are not compatible.....You would need a frame AND slide for 9mm, and a frame/slide for .45. You can't put a 9mm slide on a .45 gripframe etc. The magazines are different sizes etc.

I'm not either. I got to dry-fire one once and didn't like the trigger pull, a long DAO.

Sigs are my favorite handguns. Not a big fan of the P250 but still at awe/baffled with how Sig managed to add to the roster. Maybe they donated/bribed a good chunk of $$$ to the bankrupt state. Something must have been changed or modified on the 250.

At this point the only polymer Sig I like is the 2022. The P250 I fondled left me just, blah.

Interesting. Does Sig even maye 10rd magazines for the 9mm Compact P250?

I'm shocked they got it on. That means it has been sitting in testing limbo for years!

It means the FFL can only sell the Compact 9mm variant. You get to change out calibers at a later time.

per this link posted above, http://www.sigsauer.com/upFiles/CmsC...P%20CHANGE.pdf , Sig does mention 10rd mags.

yup, similar to how Magnum Research has a .44Mag Desert Eagle listed, and if you want a DE in .50AE, you have to buy the .44mag, and then purchase the .50AE barrel.

I hope this roster "add on" by Sig will serve as a model that everyone else can follow in introducing new makes/models to our "Holy" roster!

Maybe the DOJ has seen the writing on the wall and is trying to make the Roster a little more resistant to a pending lawsuit?

This doesn't appear to be accurate, according to Sig:
http://www.sigsauer.com/Products/Sho...&productid=212

They say:

The P250®, a modular pistol that allows the shooter to change caliber and size at will.... The SIG SAUER® P250 was designed specifically to address the future needs of the military, law enforcement, and civilian shooters around the world. The P250 will be available in the most popular calibers (9mm, .357SIG, .40S&W and .45ACP). The P250's innovative design enables the shooter to quickly remove the functional mechanism and place it into the polymer grip of his choice. This allows an immediate change in caliber and size;(subcompact, compact and full). And after any change the pistol delivers both outstanding accuracy and reliable functionality. Its modularity not only provides incredible ease of maintenance, but also provides a solution for accommodating different hand sizes - there are 6 different ergonomic combinations for each size, accomplished by changes in grip circumference and trigger style. Now you can own the world's only modular shooting system globally engineered to deliver the "To-Hell -And-Back-Reliability" you've come to expect from Sig Sauer.

Don't really care, but I'm glad that another gun has made it into this state.
I'll stick with my P232, P226, and P6(225)

Unless they have made some radical changes to the LCI, these shouldn't have made the roster. While I'm happy to see another pistol make the list, the P250 just doesn't do anything for me. Now let's see what dealers will want for this sub $500 pistol.

Good thing they got it in before the supposed microstamping bit went in - or is supposed to go in I guess.

Correct the trigger assembly is the serialized part. That is what will be DROSed, it's funny because the only accepted the P250C two tone, but once you have it, you can switch to Fullsize/Compact/Subcompact (black or two tone) in both 9mm and .40.

You mean frame is not considered a firearm in this case?
