i dont know the demand for this product... but maybe if you can prove a demand, larue would be the guy for this with his amazing QD mounts

if your talking about using the "tripod skrew mount" that is generic on most cameras i would imagine that there is something out there, but i cant find it

I have seen it on a few websites and then when I went back to find it and
no-go! I remember seeing one that attatched to your picatinny rail and had a small I-Pod sort of recorder no sound just video. If I remember it was one of the vendors on Arfcom.

I'd like to make some videos such as what you see in this action sequence in this Russian movie 9th Company, the cameras mounted on the weapon give a neat perspective.

You can see in this video, it's a compliation of the movie done for a music video, at 1:30 second you can see the perspective I'm talking about, these are AK's but would be simliar for AR's.



Also that show on Military Channel called Special Ops uses some sort of mount that gives a similar perspective.

I dont think its necessarily a gun mount. Its like in the scary movies and shows where they want to capture faces. Its chest rig that mounts the camera in front of the face. If you mounted it to the gun small movements would make the shot off center. Fixing the mount to the torso would allow movement of the weapon. A forward facing camera weapon mount would be cool for a kill shot. Tap a qd mount to take whatever pitch tipod mount are.

I think your looking either Cabelas.com or sportsmensguide.com. I remember seeing those mounts with dapener to reduce shock for the video.

If you don't want to go all-in-one, there are a ton of lipstick cameras which connect to a camcorder that would be easily mounted in a light mount.
