Default Rare Springfield Professional/FBI: LWRC A3 556

Hi Folks, four Springfield Custom Shop 1911 45 ACP Professional/FBI model have been sold. I don't have any at 'sale price.' I will present this rare version that is sitting in my safe for giggles. Don't get offended but enjoy the pictures.

If you want to buy a Springfield Custom Professional, buy Hatidua's. He has one left on this 'bored' as his used one is already sold.

This has become available from my safe 'kitted' up to my specifications.

Started life as a Standard Springfield Professional Non-Rail Version
One ragged hole group with 2 full magazines at 25yrds.
It is probably my best specimen of a Professional ... a blend of precision matching of reciprocating parts culminating in ultra accuracy.
Springfield Custom Shop installed the Dawson Rail and then I have the whole pistol refinished in Walter Birdsong Black T so the rail would match the rest of the pistol. New Nightsights were installed and a short trigger fitted.
CRG series serial number: 2xxx

Those who know 1911's, know this is a terrific pistol.
Made at the time when Nowlin Barrels were used in Professionals.

5 issued mags

This will be some interesting read and will generate some discussion here I'm sure:

http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=144074

http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread....ht=springfield

New MSRP from Springfield: $3295

Now you may be asking why is this so special?
Well first, it's a Professional with the Nowlin Barrel.
Second, it's an exceptional specimen amongst all the Professionals I have handled.
Third: it has the Dawson Light Rail. This make this pistol able to fit most standard kydex and expensive leather custom holsters without having to modify or ruin the holster. It also allows you the flexibility to add-on a Surefire X300 or X400 xenon light.

Asking for giggle purposes: $3588. Get up off the floor and laugh with me! Thanks for looking.

Available for PPT: Bay Area and the OC
Home location: Central Valley/Fresno area
---------------------------------------------

Up for consideration is a minty LWRC rifle A3 designation with flip up sights MRE (multi-regional earth finish): 14.7 inch barrel. This has been configured for Kalifornia.

This is collector's special because it is an earlier version with matching serial numbers of the upper and lower receiver. I've never seen an A3 design in MRE with 14.7 barrel.

A3 model allows selection of gas piston to be off, suppressed, adverse, and regular operation. In the off position, it is converted to a 'Bolt' Gun requiring manual operation of the bolt handle to extra the casing, making for stealth and in combination with a suppression, minimizing location and firing signature.

As many of you may know, Land Warfare Research Corporation (LWRC) makes their products in-house and have control over quality. It's a top tier AR manufacturer using gas piston stroke technology. They are RARE in the People's Republik of Kalif.

The rifle stays cleaner longer, the bolt and bolt carrier stay unsoiled and not super-heated after long cycles of firing.

I'm going to include some video references for your enjoyment.

Asking price: $3288 PPT

Again, don't hate me because I'm beautiful or because I have nice toys.

Hey, No comment about my police car??

The fit in machinist term on this Professional is "tight as a fly's ***."

The grips are factory. I can change the trigger to factory aluminum 3 hole version at your pleasure.

Thanks everybody.

If you knew how "THE" Springfield PRO felt in your hands you would say its the BEST money you EVER EVER spent on a custom 1911. I own Wilson's, Nighthawk, Les Baer's, Custom Colt's and the list goes on of custom 1911's I have (not trying to brag just trying to demonstrate quality). But my favorite and best fitting/shooting out of all is my Springfield. I love my Springfield Pro so much I just ordered him a Semi-Twin Pro Operator. And just talked to Debbie myself and gave her my credit card info and she gave me a date of arrival of MAYBE next Christmas time but not likely!!!
If you guys do your research on these they do not come up for sale ever! On Gunbroker there has been 2 for sale in last last 90 Days! Of all the USA only two on the largest gun site on the internet.

Hi Sweettooth: There are definitely bargains to be had out there, and I do encourage bargain hunting especially if you are a fellow Calgunner. These Professionals are hard to get and at a Premium. My local Dealer quoted me the over $3K price (on an unmade/unseen pistol) and I'm one of their best customer (buying two from them in the last few years). These are rare and extremely hard to get. Psychologically, we will have to get used to the $3K pricing in the coming year. Sad to say.

This is for giggles. I love this Professional and just hate to carry it ... It's like a beautiful virgin.

Glad I didn't have to pick you up in my doughnut-mobile. Enjoy your Pro ... I sure do ...

Louis' Camaro: Howdy!

Default This is what you can do to a Professional

This is what you can do to your Professional if you can get your hands on one of these little gems.

My Dawson Rail equipped Professional allows for general 1911 holster use (leather and polymer) without modication.

I find the Dawson Rail to be very helpful and not interfere with the 1911's aesthetic lines and convert your already super duper Professional into the 'railed' Professional (aka CRG Operator) without having to buy an entirely new line of holsters. It converts your Gentleman's Professional into an Operator's Professional.

I think Pop 'N Drop will have to agree with me.

Stirring up some interesting discussion.

Last picture is a file picture of my railed Professional (CRG Operator) with light.

Take care,

Hey PND, glad you bumped me. Yes, I'm a slow learner. It took me over a year to get a Nighthawk Predator as you told me. Sorry to say, it shoot dead on center ... just like yours.

It also took me a while to get my act together to get my Dawson Rail for the Springfield Professional. I was ruining too many nice expensive custom holsters with my Regular Railed Professional (Operator) so I decide to go it your (BK) way and get Dawson'ed.

Yes, I'm still shooting to the left a few inches with the Springfields. Love it! It has built in lead for any target that want to jump to the left when I shoot.

Do you need to borrow any of my Professionals as anchors for your fishing trips on the ponds? You will have a better chance shooting the fish with my left shooting Pro's than catching them with a hook and line ... as you have learned!

--------------------

Note to BKKGary: Professional Still for sale but coming off the boreds in a few short weeks.

Damn! $3000?!

I just realized something:

Buying a 1911 is like buying pizza; Everyone makes their own style, and the price ranges from $3.99 to $ 35.99, all for a pizza that you're going to crap out the next day.

I guess I'm just jealous that I don't have one...a 1911 that is.. ha ha!

Does the 1911 have an ambi safety and is the serial number marked on the barrel, bushing and slide stop?

Yeah $3K; that's pretty much the new price of admission for the Springfield Professional ... if you can find one.

Don't be jealous, just work hard, save your pennies, stop going to the st... bars (just kidding! ) and you'll get your Professional eventually. Regarding Pizza, it all ends up in the same place ... (use your imagination).

With regards to 1911's: there are many, but my Professional is my own. In the 1911 world, It comes down to those who have a Professional and those who want one (or two). If you ever handle or shoot one for an extended period ... say at a two day shoot school, the differences of the various 1911's will become evident.

Screamer, how many do you need? You got the money, I got the FBI/Professionals. I'll even throw in my little boy's police car you see in the pictures with a little more $$!

BTW: we DO have the capability and technology to remove kidney(s), you specify which side (laterality). Usually we take the left side due to the extra length in the renal vasculature.

When you buy one of these FBI/Professionals, be prepared to buy another one ... they are that addicting. I warned you first!!!

Default 2nd FBI Professional Sold also

Looks like my photobucket account is forcing me to pay (what is bandwidth overusage anyway?).

Anyway, the Springfield Professional FBI is gone. No longer available. I'll post ANOTHER one shortly. {Well this one sold too in about a week. Sorry guys!!}

Any advice regarding restoration of photobucket bandwidth without paying the stupid $25?

Yes 03Fats, these (Pro's) are coming up. I've gotten a lot of pm's about Professionals lately.

I think I triggered a mini-avalanche of Professionals when I post my supra-3K price.

I think the guys who sell their sole Professionals will miss them. Personally, I think it's a mistake because it will take another year to get one.

I saw three on the Brokers but they all sold within about 2 days!

I'll post another one shortly when I get my act together; and rectify my hosting site ... like leaving photobucket ...

Any advice on this?

Default Thanks for the bump

Thanks for the bump Jeffu.

Looks like we are flooded with Professionals right now.

We'll have to have dinner in New Port some time. Then you can show me all the sweeties you have! LOL!
