I've been running this thing like crazy and still not managed a single FTF or FTE. It's like the rifle is defying the laws of .22 ammunition... Sig may have some issues with QC (my gas block was canted), but my 522 and 556 both eat any ammunition I can find, indiscriminately.

Here's mine (along with my GSG 1911-22)

-556 fish gill handguard was a direct swap. I got it off the forums on sigarms556.com
-556 rear diopter (easier to adjust than the Williams sight that came with the gun)
-Midwest Indutsries rail mount sling swivel and GI sling (for appleseed)

Blackdog makes 10 rnd mags in 30/28 rnd bodies. It only looks like it would hold more than 10, but it only holds 10.

Could someone who got there's with the Sig case give me a quick review on it? Are they as flimsy as the one Plano ones they typically carry at Big 5? I picked mine up today but I got it in a padded cardboard box. Apparently Sig switched to these from the blue ones I've seen posted here. I thought about buying the sig case but not sure it is worth the $50 they are charging for it.

Love them both!!! Big brother (the one on top) is a stock safe queen now though The 522 gets no less than 200 per outing with NO ISSUES.

Here is mine, finally got it yesterday. Took off the iron sights (well, the back one for the moment) and added a Trigicon 4x32 ACOG with a reflex sight. This only temporary until i get my Nikon Prostaff BDC Reticle 3-9x40 which will not be for a couple of months due to them being backordered. I'm also getting the STAR 522 rail on monday and an NcSTAR bipod on Tuesday. Still debating on a front grip but i'm leaning toward a Magpul rail one.

What barrel is that? Its hard to see in those pics but it looks like yours has a different style gas block like on another 522 I saw today. Maybe it's a newer version. Your sights came installed? I just picked mine up yesterday but I noticed the date on the case says June 2011.

That must be the gas block sig is using on the new builds. I kinda like it, looks to be of better material and its black.

Default Purchased this for my wife on valentines. Of course I use it though

Sig 522
X3 Blackdog mags
DDLES Rear stock adapter
UTG Milspec Buffer tube
MAGPUL CTR Stock
MAGPUL XTM Rail covers FDE/BLACK
Samson Star 522 Rail System
MAGPUL RVG (switched out for the Gear Sector Stubby))
Troy rail mounted QD adapter
Factory F/R sights (i had the magpul sights on but even bottomed out it shoots way high. Finda figured that though)

I actually just took off the DDLES/buffer set and placed the original back for my wife as she preferred that better so anyone wants to purchase hit me up

AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feels so good to be around my fellow SIG snobs and not have to deal with those little dirty GSG scum.

So... I HAD a used ACOG on mine. Found it "preowned" on ebay a few years back. It was all scratched up but Trijicon contracts out a "refinishing tool" that is farmed out by the sharpie company. Looked brand new like it just came out of the case. It was fantasticly BORING to shoot. It was so easy and fun to shoot i had to change up to make it more challenging. I could hit 4" plates all day long at 100 yrds. Even the girlfriend could pick it up and hit them with no problem. Only problem with the ACOG is that it sits a little high and you cant get much of a cheek weld. Not really needed with this thing, but I like a good cheek weld.

THEN..... got a good deal on the new "REAL" stocks for it. Picked up a Zeiss Z-point a few years back on SALE for $400 and have not seen that deal since. Fits PERFECT on the 522.

And here is some rhetorical gun porn while we are posting stuff.

Love seeing what everyone else is doing with their Sigs. Gives everyone good ideas. Keep on keeping on Sig Brothers!!!
