I took mine shooting saturday. I only got to fire 100-150 rounds because I noticed my scope was loose and spining in the scope clamps. When I mounted the scope I forgot that I never tightend the 8 set screws (just snugged them a tiny bit) because I was playing around with where I wanted it mounted, so since I didn't have an allen wrench with me, the day with that gun was cut short.

I was using Remington 525 bulk pack. I only had 1 jam out of 100-150 rounds. The only mag I had was the gray mag that came with it. I didn't really pay close attention to it when I ejected the round but it may have just been a round that simply didn't fire, so I can't say it was the guns fault. Next time I will keep tabs on any jam issues I may come across in the future.

I have bought about 5,000 rounds of those rem bulk packs and found out my target pistol jams with it every single time but ran flawless with Winchester 333 packs. weird. I ran a couple mags of Winchester ammo through the Sig and went fine as well.

I would have to guess the accuracy must be pretty damn good on the gun. I didn't sight the red dot in or touch it at all and was hitting what I was aiming for with no problems. Some of those shots were probablly fired with the scope moving around a little as well.

I was having so much fun I didn't even pay attention to the trigegr pull weight. when shooting 10 rounds through it, it seems the the 10 round mags don't last as long as 10 rounds in my 10/22, probablly because pulling the trigger on it is much more fun.

I still need to post up a pic or two. I'll edit this and add pics.

Well here are some pics of my 522 that I just picked up on Thursday. The rifle came with the 10rd half body Black Dog Mags but I prefer the full body 10/26rd Black Dog Mags. I finally got my Vortex StrikeFire Red / Green Dot that I ordered for it. I went with the low mount which puts the scope down nice and low. Glass is nice an clear and the red and green dot are not bad. Haven't had a chance to get it out in bright sun light yet to evaluate how good the dots will show up since I've heard reports of others having trouble with this issue.

With the 10rd half body mag

With the 10/26rd full body mag

I corrected it, they are full body 10/26rd mags. Sorry for the screw up. I've had these for a couple of years now. I got mine when I ordered my Spikes ST-22.

Did you but from a member here on CGN? I would love 1 or 2 of these.

I would also be interested in the CMMG 10/26 mags

Hey Warrior, I got one from Landworld with my rifle and I ordered the other from Spikes. This was either in late 08 or early 09.

Bronco,

thanks for the info I will give lanworld a call and see if they still got them. I might be going to Gio's bday shoot in Feb. Maybe we should do a friendly 522 competition for best groupings. Or challenge some guys with S&Ws, GSGs, or Colts to a contest to end the accuracy debate once and for all.

Hey Warrior, sounds like fun. I have the following 22ls. Spikes ST-22, Wasr-22GSG-MP5, AR-7, and now my Sig 522. Maybe I should bring them all....... Nah got to leave room for other toys

Today I picked up a universal Hogue slip on grip designed mostly for Glocks, that I was going to put on my GSG-5PK, I will be picking up in 9 days (waiting sucks).

Just for the hell of it, I tried it on my Sig 522. Now I need to go pick up another slip grip because it looks, fits and feels great on my 522.

Are you in CA?

With my GSG-5PK the place that sells the PK's here in CA use red loctite, so that if you were to try to remove the stock flash hider, it would be a huge pain in the ***. The Sig measures about 26.5" with the stock folded over with the factory flash suppressor. If you're in CA and remove the flash suppressor, it will be under 26".

That's why it seems like it's welded on.

If you were dead set on removing it and it is just loctite keeping yours locked in place, you could probablly heat the loctite up really hot and maybe you could soften it up enough to remove it but you run the risk of screwing up the finish of either the suppressor, barral or more. Not to mention it would be under the CA law specs, unless maybe you were to then screw on a non functioning suppressor/silencer, so it stays over 26".

EDIT:

OMG you can't say @$$???

You had to switch the mounting hardware to the left hand side I see? I didn't realize until I mounted the sight that it gets in the way.

I'm pretty impressed with that optic. It's not as clear as the Bushnell, (let alone the real $900.00 ACOGs) but for $66.00 shipped, how can one go wrong?! It works well and seems to be holding its zero.

I figured that the mounting nuts on the base would be in the way of the charging handle, so I switched it over before I mounted it. It may look a little weird, but it's sturdy.

I actually got mine from Midway USA for $99. $66 is a great price bro.

Actually you were right, the mounting nuts do get in the way as I learned the hard way when I pulled the charging handle. Took a nice piece off the top of my thumb. In reality I like the way it looks now.

Sportsman's Guide lists them for $69.00 - but they're always out-of-stock. My friend is a "Club Member" and gets an additional discount; we ordered at the same time. It took about a month to finally get them, but it was worth the wait.

Just finished sighting in the Magpul MBUS... had a Barska 1x20 mini red-dot on there but like the irons (ok, so polymer / steel) on there better. The rail is King Arms (airsoft part), low profile rail covers and the vertical grip is Botach's KZ stubby (Totally quality part!)... I love this thing! Got about 350 rounds through it so far. The folding stock functions perfectly with the new front rail system - none of that jump on it to lock it open and pry bar to get it loose anymore. Here's to replacing plastic with metal whenever possible!

Its an old insight MX3 light (no laser) I had laying around. It is the swat model with the rail. I have the samson front sight, arms 40L in the back, an eotech 512 and magpul AFG.

Not sure the exact type, it comes standard with the SWAT version of the rifle.

Also finally got it in action. A lot of fun!

Here is mine. It is the SWAT model, I liked how it came with forearm rail covers and a stock extention. I put a Magpul MBUS flip-up sights on it.

Good looking Sig 522s in here. I just picked mine up last week.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a longer and/or fatter flash suppressor? I know it needs to be threaded for 1/2x28, but I'd like to see some suggestions and/or pictures of them actually mounted on a Sig 522. For instance, anyone know which one Oldrice has on his 522 in post #58?

Thanks and I'm done using "and/or".

I'm Jealous,I have to wait till I receive my ID through the mail before I can go purchase one. But as soon as it comes i'm heading straight to the gun store to pick one up. Quick question, how much do they run for?
