Default Range clean up pics in Placer County

We managed to only put a smallish dent in the place.

We plan to go back.

Although by the time we do get back there I'm thinking it will be just as bad as it was prior to us arriving.--If not worse.

Here's the before and after pics and the motley group.

Sorry for the blur, lens was having trouble focusing in the mist.

And you really can't get an idea as to what the range really looked like. The only lens I had was a telephoto.... So as you can see you only manage to get a soda straw perspective on the area.

No official date. But I know I want to get out there again, soon.

seesm--the guy in the orange--wants to get back out fairly soon too.

Maybe within a month or less from now?

Please let us know when the next time is Scoob_i_e and we will go back out again.

Hopefully we can borrow a dump trailer and like 6-10 of us and have a nice day of shooting and a little clean up and heck maybe a BBQ...

Today was WET NON BBQ weather haha... But at least we made a dent!

PLEASE jump on board.

BTW why can people not just shoot pumpkins and other stuff that is biodegradable? Carry out what you carry IN!!

Hey seesm. Nice to meet you and your two helpers.

As far as a date for the next time....

Don't know whether your schedule becomes crazy during the holidays but I'm essentially detached of any and all obligations during the next 30 or so days.

So even though turkey day and xmas are coming up, I'm free.

Question is whether you or anyone else would be during the next upcoming month?

Gio make a plan to come up... Placerville is far from us actually... We are talking Placer county we were in the Tahoe national forrest above Forresthill. maybe 35-45 miles from Sacramento.

My buddy i think he calls it the "Stupid spot" beautiful place but people seem to be or get stupid when there and litter like crazy.... It makes me sick hence my thread and also Scoob_i_es thread here...

Yes Scoob_i_e it was nice to meet you as well. Let me know when is good you... obviously tool wise shovels and magnets and such I have so its a no brainer...

The kids are wildmen but were helping for like 3 minutes.... I think if we shoot next time (on a dry day) they would be more into it... As far as the holidays I have soem family that will be around but I can sneak out for a few hrs most any day I think... DO a little juggling with work and such.

Lemme know.

Yep, that's the stooopid spot we went to seesm.

Sorry I couldn't be out there w u guys today. I should be able to make the next cleanup if I get a little notice.

I shoot at that spot regularly and I really don't want it shut down.

Hey guys, let me know on here or pm me when you've set a date for the next round of cleanup. I've never been to this spot but it would be nice to meet up somewhere, find a new spot and clean it up a bit. Weekends are best for me (loving the unemployed life) and maybe fridays too. School interferes with the rest of the week.

The spot is sorta secret but some know about it and most fo who shoot out there DO NOT give a sh*t if it gets shut down it seems..... The U.S. Forrestry service IS watching this area to see what to do next... My hope are we do this and keep it clean on a regular basis maybe even the DIRTBALLS who leave **** will at least pull some of what they carry in (OUT)

Anyway BIGCHRIS was supposed to show up as well but got sick last night so hopefully he is feeling better and can make it as well next time...

So:

ItsmrJames
Scoob_i_e
BIGCHRIS
Rolex87
GIO?
and Me

That is a start for sure but let get some more...

So... Hopefully Dec 27th stays the date. But as always time will tell.....

I am assuming that day is probably about best due to the (obvious) fact that;

Turkey day and xmas would then be done and over.....

Day-after-xmas sales are probably mostly done.

It's also the last weekend prior to new years--before more craziness starts.... I.e.; more partying.

I figure if the date is pushed past the weekend of the 27th then the party days this time of year (again turkey, xmas and new years) will have taken it's toll on most of us and it will all be too much for any of us to drag ourselves out to a clean up.

At least not for awhile after the fact anyways.

12/27 sounds good. I can bring a couple shovels, rakes and a wheelbarrow to help. Is Plink going to send an email about this?

Inspires me to do the same next time out on BLM down here.
Can always bring along extra buckets and bags for garbage detail.

the 'range' just above Colfax has been closed. could be there is one up near dutch flat, interested to know if so.

I don't think i can make this cleanup on the 27th. Checking things over, but not looking good at this time. Nothing is looking good at this time but hey, 2010 is just around the corner. Here's to a good new year to all.
