Good. Thank you for that humility.

Can't say the same about other companies who feel the need to flash cash and have their egos stroked.

Well I first thought the one was for show because you wouldn't ship the stealth uppers to us, but now I see you are really just trying to hand over the olive branch to CGF and other side. Thanks for all you do and enjoy your christmas.

You weren't dragged over the coals for having a policy to not allow your own lowers, uppers, etc to be sold in California.

Many here complained and put the heat on him, he saw the light and how much money could be made.

Thanks for the donation, for finally posting it in this thread, telling us the exact amount, not taking credit for it (until now) and apparently criticizing Larue for taking credit for it earlier than you did. Now can this thread rest in peace?

Amazing how CGN bites the hand that feeds it sometimes. Mark steps up and donates HUGE amounts to CGF, and some CGN members scoff at him because he wont play politics with CA bureaucrats.

If you're talking about me and my reply, then go back and read it again as comprehension is not your strong suit.

He didn't make the "donation" till after he was called on the carpet.

Before that, he played along with California DOJ and would not allow his lowers to be sold here...

Does that help?

If you go back an research the whole scenario it goes something like this.

LaRue was an Anti-CA company, they would not ship here. LaRue was getting flamed on the board and he came on here and stated if you can show me it's ok and the law to back it up not oly will I ship I'll donate to the cause.

He is a man of his word and not only began shipping he donated, and again, and again...

It's one of the good stories.

Very well put.
I would only add that I believe that CGF had some sway in convincing him as well.

I used to be weary of some views that Mr. Larue holds, but as a Californian my gratitude for such generosity will take precedent. I look forward to purchasing your products the next chance I get.

Just saw Mesa Tactical's post. My goodness, thank you for being so generous, and fighting the fight for so many who give nothing... The majority of whom don't even know or care about the fight to begin with.

IIRC, this was done as "atonement" for being openly hostile to California consumers:

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...ighlight=larue

...still though, very generous of him.

We California gun owners appreciate your contribution. I might have to change my opinion of you.

As you know it has been a struggle here to keep our 2A rights. So your support is very helpful.

Now, if I could just find one of your rifles for sale here... You make great kit, thanks again.

Sincerely,
Scott

Holy cow. This man puts his money where his mouth is. Very impressive indeed. BTW...I just picked up my first scope mount. A LaRue LT111. A beautifully engineered piece of firearms artwork. Thanks Mark, we love you out here in California.
