Default Yugo AKs for sale under $400

These are all Serbian made Zastava rifles for the lowest price I've seen for a factory AK http://www.ak47rifle.com/item/167357...6.aspx?NID=371

The reviews I've read are the buttstock is designed for use with a scope, so you have a proper cheek weld. Of course for those that "need it", they can be converted to a more traditional military configuration.

A few details about this new imported Yugo Kalashnikov.

Single stack mag well
Proprietary 10 round mag
Slant cut in the rear of the receiver, like some MAK 90's.
Excellent finish.

Perfect for a BB setup.
Pretty classy stock.

Cant we just have them remove the pistol grip and ship them to an FFL in CA? Or dio they not ship to CA. If not what would it cost to send them to a middle man then have them transferred to our FFL?

Totally agree! These are supposed to retail in the $350 range. They will get cheaper as the supply increases. These are 100 percent Yugo. No US parts in them. I will pick one up when the price is right, even if it's not going to be an easy conversion to military specs. One additional thing that I've heard is that there is an extra mag well block to mill out, inside the mag well, to convert it to double stack configuration.

I've been looking at that one for a while, waiting for someone to sell it cheaper than the importer does (EAA retails it for $430). I'm going to email the seller and see if they're willing to put a maglock on it.

That sounds about right. I did a mag well conversion on a WASR and the tabs on the lower rails were longer to stabilize the thinner 10 round mag.

Im not arguing quality. All Im saying is after every middle man gets his little cut a 350$ AK is simply a dream for a california gun owner. Can you imagine a gun store that will actually charge 350$ tax and DROS for a ak. Dude the guy will be ordering them for the next year or so. he will probably need a door company on his speed dial cause it will be broken constantly from being opened and closed by the people running to his store

Hmmmm wonder how different it is and how much work is involved in making a regular ak mag fit. Looks like the front of the mag has a lip on it like the back of AK mags do.

The rifle itself has a single stack size magazine well, like the WASR-10 AK's. You will have to open up the magazine well to accomodate the double stack width of the regular AK magazine.

Been there done that, it's a 10 min job with a mill, an hour with a dremel.

Nope, not yet. They are just barely getting into dealers inventory in quantity. This is the rifle if you want an imported Yugo. The last batch from Mitchell are unfortunately banned by name for us here in CA.
