Default AK extended mag release/catch

Anybody have any experience with extended AK mag releases (catches)?

I know of:

After taking an AK class with larry vickers, heres my take on it. IMO, they are useless because they they will not drop the magazine by it self (like an AR). You still need your left hand to grab the mag and drop it. So you have to fiddle around with trying to press that release, then take the mag out like you would if you didn't have the extended release. You adding steps to the mag change that only complicates the process for no gain in time or ease. So I say pass on them. Its just solution in search of a problem. Hope this helps.

Just got this unit and installed it. I can't be more pleased and highly recommend it!

Although I agree with k-101, as with any weapon system, PRACTICE is key. I can certainly see the usefulness of this product adapting very well in combat situations. I was certainly pleased with the quality of the product, and ease of installation.

I will try to get a video up in the following days. For now, I certainly don't regret spending my 9.95.
