Thumbs up ***Very Rare COLT LMG - LIGHT MACHINE GUN- UPPER*** NEW PICS

NEW COLT LMG UPPER Complete Kit - Hydrolic Buffer, Bolt, Upper, Bipod - the whole thing, just as it goes out to the marines. This has the Correct Open Bolt (retail for about $500 by themselves) - But for legality in CA i'll also include a standard Bolt. This upper is incredibly rare in the civilian market, let alone in CA.
This is a BIG (see the side x side with my M4ish AR), Heavy upper - meant for sustained auto-fire, not short bursts like an M4 or standard M16 - These uppers were built to supplement SAWs.

I have added additional pics so you can see the upper up close and personal. This is the Upper on my OLL Sun Devil lower w/ BB of course (Lower not for sale) - the upper is new, but put on gun for pics. I'm asking $2500 for the complete Upper package.
Description is here:

FROM THE COLT WEBSITE -

LIGHTWEIGHT, RELIABLE, ACCURATE FIREPOWER
The Colt Automatic Rifle is ideally suited to today’s modern warfare requirements for rapid deployment, mobility in battle, and high volumes of accurate fire. The Automatic Rifle builds on the strengths of the combat proven design while incorporating special features to increase its capability to deliver accurate, controlled and sustained firepower for the Infantryman.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The Colt Automatic Rifle is a gas operated, air-cooled, magazine fed, fully automatic weapon which fires from the open bolt position. The new, heavier barrel design increases stability, accuracy and heat dissipation. A new hydraulic buffer assembly is incorporated to achieve a firing rate of 600-750 rounds per minute. The Automatic Rifle features a rugged bipod design, which deploys and retracts rapidly and easily with the use of a single hand. The low cyclic rate of fire, heavy barrel, front grip, bipod and M16A2/A4 sighting system combine to yield unprecedented controllability and accuracy in a “light machine gun” at extended ranges.

COMMONALITY
The Colt Automatic Rifle shares common features with the M16A2/A4 Rifle. The Automatic Rifle’s operating controls and handling characteristics are immediately familiar to soldiers trained in operating the M16 family of firearms. It uses the same wide variety of ammunition as the M16A2/A4 including M193, M855, SS109 and tracer rounds. The commonality of the Colt Automatic Rifle magazine and parts with the M16 family of weapons drastically reduces the training and logistics requirements to introduce the Automatic Rifle in service.

Specs are here:

***I'm also including a standard bolt to insure legality in the state, since I haven't fired it I don't know if it will fire from a closed or open bolt, with the standard bolt it will fire from a closed bolt***

compared to a Noveske Recce Barreled upper -

They look great with Beta Mags - if you want to go all out and have a 10/100 beta with your bullet button

I haven't seen these on the market in probably 10 years.

The only issue I can see is if it will ACTUALLY fire on an open-bolt in semi-auto, then it would be illegal to install on your lower.

If they only fire open-bolt on full-auto, then you're probably fine.

i haven't fired it at all so not sure if the bolt closes on the semi or not - but i'll include a standard bolt to go along with the package to insure legality of use.

The description shows removable rear sight / carry handle, but your actual photo shows A2 fixed rear sight / carry handle.

Good observation - the new product coming from Colt now has removable sight/handle and mine is the original with the fixed set-up.

New product? Colt actually still makes the Open-bolt LMG uppers?

Its still listed on their product page - so I assume they are. That may just be for informational purposes, not sure.
I do know that my upper is the earlier version with a fixed carry handle, while the newer version has a removable handle.
