yes i am using the stock rear sight for a few simple reasons:

i like having a similar sight picture as my 7.62x39 saiga,
and i just haven't gotten around to installing the ghost ring rear sight.
i may. i may not.

the mag lock is made by a machine shop for ARMS OF AMERICA.
it comes on all of there california compliant saiga 12s.
it is in my opinion the best lock out there.
it utilizes the stock mag release spring and looks/operates just like original release minus the tab.
it uses a key similar to the RADD lock key.

i had originally used the tromix diy trigger guard with a standard ak grip.
it didn't look right to me. the tromix is meant to be used with the saw grip.
saw grips don't do anything for me.
i went with the tac47 classic diy guard.
its lines look cleaner to me with an ak grip.

as for your oc armory maglock, that one was meant to be used on an unconverted gun. its a hassle to reuse that one after conversion as it uses the screw holes you'll need for the diy guard.

arms of america sells a great mag lock.
prk arms also has a good option.

Those conversions look even sweeter in person.

Hey CRUCIFIED I forgot where did you get the wood furniture for your 7.62x39 Saiga conversion from?

the pistol grip is from a milled polish ak.
nice fat grip!
the lower hand guard is an egyptian maadi.
it all fits together real well if i do say so.

I am ordering parts for my conversion and their mag lock seems like the best choice as i wont have to worry about finding a trigger guard that will work with traditional mag locks.

Also how hard do you think it would be to switch out for when I am out of state?
