why not just have it sent to a middle man out of state like cold war shooters and then have them send it to your ffl in CA?

Middleman is the way to go but then it's not much of a savings.

OK, weren't these being sold for 8-900$ like a few months ago?
Why are these threaded for AK 74 when they are 7.62 guns?

I paid $900 for mine!

And Arsenal decided to put the 74 style threading on them for the 103 look yes. I actually talked to Arsenal about this.

Thats how much I got mine for as well. At $499, I wouldnt mind picking up another one. Hope the SGL-31 comes down to that price as well.

I would find a middle-man FFL so freakin' fast if they had a similar sale on the 31s. I want one of those so bad.

I can be the middleman. Next business day shipping.

$65 if I provide the lock. Includes transfer, lock, shipping & insurance.

$40 if you provide the lock (non-evasive, bolt on only). Includes transfer, installation, shipping and insurance.

Could you ship by just removing PG?

If your dealer will accept it like that, no problem. Select the $40 Standard Transfer.

I also break down the +10rd magazine to a repair kit and ship it along with the gun.

iirc Arsenal will not ship to California and will not process an order from a California billing address. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember a thread about this a while back.

When I talked to Arsneal, they said it's their policy to NOT sell to California. I don't know if they would reject a CA billing address. If they do, maybe you can convince them it's an early Chirstmas present for someone in Freakshows area.

Arsenal seems to really guard themselves from selling to California. I remember Atlantic Firearms getting a call from them about intending to sell to Californians. Apparently it is in contract between Arsenal and Atlantic that Arsenal guns cannot be sold to Californians.

Atlantic (who didn't ship anything to CA for a long time) isn't the only distributor of Arsenal guns.

Yea, the Arsenal guy I talked to seemed a little displeased that I owned one.

Yup... They're not California friendly at all.

BTW... For the interested parties it would be in the best interest of the deal to tone down the Middleman talk. We would not want Arsenal to catch on who's who and start cutting orders.

Anybody have a pic of both sides of the receiver? What markings do they have? Are these marked "Saiga" and restamped "Arsenal"?

Thanks!

If any of you guys end up buying one, get the SGL21-66 or SGL21-76.
Reason being those have a true Russian 100 series ak-103 front sight block. All the other ones use a 74 style front sight block.

There are some advantages of the 74 front sight though. You can use a bulgarian muzzle nut instead of a muzzle brake to make it more handy.

What are the differences between the 2 sight blocks?

Looks like it's the same thread pitch, so the russian 103 front sight can use the krinkov/ak74 muzzle nut.

a middle man transfer is for when an out-of state store won't ship to california, so you send the gun to another out-of-state FFL (middleman) that will receive the gun and then ship it to your CA FFL.

thanks!
so they can do any cali needed mods and then ship it in?
is it illegal to ship it to an ffl in cali before it's CA compliant and have them do the mods?

thanks again!
