then wait until you see it is no longer in beta, and there are vendors set up to use it.

In the mean time, if you did participate in the beta, you could help them find bugs. And perhaps you made a deal with another calgunner who has a gunpal account, you could make your electronic payment that way instead of having to deal with a MO or discrete PP.

Its still true, even PayPal had a beta period. A month ago we didn't have GunPal.
What's it going to look like next year?

Would like to participate in the beta testing but it does not appear to be possible. I do have over 5400 posts on SIG Forum, if it matters.

Anyway, I look forward to the release of Gun Pal. I have to talk to Bruce but am confident that we at Grayguns, Inc. will integrate it into our payment options.

Best wishes on your testing!

THIS. GP is going to have a short beta period, and we already have some BIG names in the firearms biz who will be accepting it. Feel free to sign up now and have your voice heard in the creation of the first true pro civil rights payments system in the world.

Sounds great. Ever since I learned how anti-gun paypal is on gunsamerica.com from a seller that refuses to take paypal, I've been looking for an alternative. I'll gladly sign up when its out of beta. Currently, don't have enough posts to be in the beta.

Do any gun rights organizations (cgn/cgf/nra/whatever) actually benefit from me using gunpal? As far as I understand it, this is a private venture not really associated with cgn/cgf (except for some familiar faces), right?

Whether private, commercial, charity or free gifting, it matters not. GunPal will benefit US, the gun guys and the gun industry and by extension CGN, CGF, NRA and whatever.
If its profit driven, it is profit driven by an individual that is quite friendly to guns. Where else you going to get that?

I guess it does not hurt any to sign up even if I don't use it. I don't think I ever bought anything off this forum before. Does not mean I never will.

<added>
All signed up.

So can I use this to accept payments if I sell something on eBay?

I don't see why it wouldn't be against the TOS of gunpal for you to do so. However, the buyer would also need to be a GP user as well, and since it is currently in beta, that may be hard to do.

The more immediate problem would be that GP is not on ebay's list of acceptable electronic payment systems, so they may balk at that.

Would I be all that far off if I were to guess that their list of acceptable electronic payment systems is:

<start of list>
Paypal
<end of list>

from ebay:
Quote:
You'll be offered payment options as you list your item. Payment options for most listings include:

PayPal

ProPay

Moneybookers

Paymate

Credit card through an Internet merchant account

Payment upon pickup

Notes:

Payment by personal check, cashier’s check, bank-to-bank transfers, or money order isn't allowed for most eBay purchases.

This doesn't apply to: some Motors categories, the Real Estate and Adult Only categories, and capital equipment. For a list of excluded categories, see the accepted payments policy.

Actually, every time a user Sends Money in GP, a donation is made to the Charity of their choosing. CGF & NRA are amongst the available options.

GP, at no additional cost to the user, lets you benefit the cause of your choice - in realtime.

How does Gunpal show up on my bank statement or credit card statement? Is the name Gunpal listed or some other less obviously gun-related name?

"Gunpal" is listed, it'll be quite obvious it takes ~3ish days for the verification deposits to show.

GUNPAL is now live and out of Beta! A special thank you to all the beta users who stepped up and helped define what RKBA Payments will look like.

Will there be GunPal t-shirts and/or hats so we can advertise at gun related events?
