Default Range report >> Rem 700 XCR Tac Long Range(.308)

I had this out a couple times with different off the shelf loads, until I can start loading my own. Win 7.62mm 147gr fmj, Win 308 150 gr power point and Amer Eagle 308 150gr fmj. All good.

But..I was able to get some Lake City 175gr long range (XM118LR)...Ohhh yeah!!

100 yrd (3 shot grp)

100 yrd (10 shot grp)...yes, they are all there. Punched out the center of the 3 shot group (total 5 hits there)

200 yrd (3 shot grp)

This is off the shelf, which I think is pretty damn good! The 40-X trigger has no creep\travel and is very crisp. The B&C stock is perfect ergo wise > for me, fore end and thumbhook are very well thought out. I'll be picking up another Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 for my AR15...IMO, one of the best scopes in the $ range. More than happy with the 700...this thing is going to be a real pain in the @$$ to coyotes\pigs\deer

damn impressive!

I always get a kick how an out of the box factory rifle can always run with custom guns that cost thousands more

There's a reason for the big big $ rifles...I just don't shoot well enough to justify myself getting one

WokMaster1\Jpach....Vortex Viper...I bought from Optics Planet, but there's a couple others who sell them as well. $509.00 (target dot) - $50 buck rebate from Vortex. Nice scope!

QuarterBoreGunner...the sling works out real well, like anything there is a technique to using it properly.

On my way to the 300-400-500 ranges (I hope)

Nice shooting. I really like my Viper as well, mil dot version. Worked spot on dialing in to 1000 and back.

Hint: Scott at Liberty can do better than that price. Let him know your a Calgunner

Nice.... where'd you get your XM118LR if I may ask? I've been trying to just get a box to test out in my new bolt gun before I buy a crapload.

Nice 100 yard groupings. Hope to see some 400+ yard range report in the future.

Well put! 90% of the shooters out there can't out shoot their current rig. You my friend seem to be doing just fine. Nice groups!
