It looks too high. I'm happy with the scout mount.

Thumbs up

Not bad at all for a reciever mount. Looks like an elegant solution to the problem of mounting a regular eye relief scope on the best little 7.62x39 platform in the world.

1988: how is the Scout Mount on resetting to zero. You have to take it off for gun maintenance, right? The Scout Mount does look easy to take off and put back on again. However I hear conflicting reports concerning getting it back to zero?

The scout mount is a 2-piece design. The base should be installed with lock-tite for a semi-permanent fix. The set screws will mar the RSB when you tighten it down. The top rail is removable, and the top and bottom mate by pins and slots, secured by 4 set screws.

I found the machining work is precise enough to maintain zero if you need to remove the top rail (with scope attached) for cleaning.

You can see its ad HERE and HERE.

We should have side rails on rifles by Christmas. We'll also sell mounts with attached shell deflectors. In addition, our 5.56mm vz.58 should be available by Christmas too.

What kind of barrel twist rate will they have on the 5.56 version ?

I'll be very disappointed if they come only with 1/9 or slower.

1:9 will stabilize everything you'll shoot out of it.
