Exclamation ►►► SVT-40 For Sale - was $950 NOW $700!!! SPF

SVT-40 FOR SALE - OAKLAND CALIFORNIA

OK guys,

I need money to do some work on my Harley, so the SVT-40 has to go! I bought this gun several months ago for around $1200, and now I am letting it go for $950!!!!

PRICE JUST REDUCED TO $900.

PRICE JUST REDUCED TO $850.

PRICE JUST REDUCED TO $800.

PRICE JUST REDUCED TO $700.

SPF

FINAL PRICE DROP - IF IT DOES NOT SELL AT THIS PRICE I AM TAKING IT OFF THE MARKET.

Here is why. . .

It has the sticky bolt syndrome. What that means is that it doesn't like to extract sometimes. This problem seems to happen more in hot weather and when using steel-cased ammo. I've never had it do it with brass-cased ammo.

It may be just that the gas system needs adjusting, or that the gas system needs rebuilding, or that the chamber needs cleaning. I've got too many projects on my plate to work on it, and I need money for my bike, so I'm letting the rifle go for WELL UNDER what you would normally pay at a gun shop or gun show.

This is a NICE looking gun with the purple re-arsenaled bolt, and I seem to recall that it is forced-matched with electropenciled numbers. The wood and metal are beautiful.

Here are the terms:

1) Sale is cash only.
2) Sale is FTF, and happens at my house in Oakland.
3) I will need your DL so that I can enter your info in my bound book.
4) Sale is final, and there are no returns.

If you've ever wanted an SVT-40 and were put off by the high price, this is your rifle!!! ETA: I am open to offers - MUST sell by this weekend!!! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL RIFLE.

The "main" arsenal mark was ground off for some reason. But there are little stars in other places that make me think Tula. Maybe an SVT-40 expert could chime in and let me know. . .

Hi

Does the receiver have the sniper rail groove and cut out for the scope mount?

Does the stock have the DUTCH/WOOD repair common to these?

What is the barrel like?

Any corrosion or pitting anywheres?

How is the magazine? Does it feed reliably?

THANKS!

No sniper rail. . .

I could see no repairs to the stock.

Barrel is shiny - not SUPER shiny, but definitely not dark.

I don't see any corrosion or pitting, but I also haven't taken the hand guard off. . .

Magazine feeds reliably - but is mismatched - all other main parts (receiver, stock, bolt carrier) have the same serial number.

GRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! why does this have to be up in the Bay Area?! I'd drive to LA for a deal like this, but SF Bay is just too much.

Default NOW $700 - CASH - MUST SELL BY TONIGHT!

Thanks everyone for the interest! I wish I could ship it, but given the fact that it has the sticky bolt issue, I am more comfortable doing a FTF so that the buyer has a chance to see the gun, etc..

I'm going to do ONE FINAL PRICE DROP.

The new price is $700!

If I don't sell it by tonight - I am removing the listing. . .

Seriously. I have some friends who live up that way. None have plans to visit down here in SD any time in the next few months, otherwise I'd guarantee them a resale when they visit.
