Is our official residence (Voter registration, Driver's License, vehicle registration, etc.) in Plumas County?

If you spend more time at the home in portola ( 5 to 6 days a week ) then you should be good. I would call the sheriffs dept and ask as they will tell you straight up yes or no. I dont see why they wouldnt let you so give it a shot and I would even put it in writting when you submit the permit that way its in your records with the county and if anything ever happens then you have in writing on file and youre off the hook.

If its a "real" second residence, that you own, keep up, stay at fairly regularly, plan on moving into when you retire, etc, and not just some fiction, lot with a 5-wheel on it, a friend, relative, that you think you can claim as a residence I'd go for it in an up front fashion.

The Plumas County residence is going to have to be your PRIMARY residence. Sheriffs and Police Chiefs are quite aware of 2nd Residency attempts to get a CCW...
