It is 0100 hours, just got off work and I am printing shipping labels. I got the tools from production today and you should all receive your shipping notification and tracking number in the morning. All the orders I've received so far will be shipped tomorrow...or today, just once I wake up. Thanks again for your orders.

I specifically didn't clean that part of my bolt last weekend just so I could try this out, now I just have to wait for the mail man to get here... or the ups guy who ever shows up first.

I used it today, it worked nicely. A final wipe with the slip2000 carbon killer made it shine.

overall good product. I havent played with it much but cleaned 2 bolts.

Got mine today, tried it out on a nasty dirty bolt and it worked great. The only thing I wish was that the metal that scrapes the bolt was just a tad bit higher maybe a millimeter more, so that it would scrape the tail end of the bolt here:

Other that, nice product!

Thanks!

Yes the blade is adjustable. Just loosen the two set screws on the side of the tool and the blade comes out. Remember, that all eight edges of the blade are the same radius as the bolt so you can rotate it around if the blade ever wears out.

The blade should be reaching that part of the bolt. I set all the blades so they did. There may be just a little play in the spacing because of the plastic tolerances. Try using a little sideways pressure as well as pushing some pressure down on the bolt/blade when you twist. That should help.

Well I got home today and there it was, waiting for me.

It works as advertised. Easy, fast and good. Too bad I only have one to use it on.

Sorry about the link not working. I checked and re-checked and it worked for me. You may just need to copy and paste the link: http://www.ar15armory.com/forums/Gan...an-t66278.html into your browser.

Sorry for the late response, Ive been on vacation. No it will not damage a chrome bolt. The curve of the blade matches the bolt tail radius so there is no problem with gouging.

Wassup LE guy! The G & G Bolt Cleaner and Polisher is working but I'm wondering if you've given any thought to taking it one step further by adding a device that will scrape the bolt tail seat in the recess in the bolt carrier cylinder which in my experience gets just as crummy as the bolt tail itself.

I emailed you today asking if the bolt tail scraper arm in the tool is adjustable. Can we move that question here? Mine works but I'm wondering if it would scrape better if I can close down the tolerance a bit without of course without damaging the bolt tail. Can/should that be done by backing off on the two screws that are over the scraper blade?

Doc

Yes. I sent you an email earlier, but you can adjust the scraper blade. The screws are simply set screws holding the blade in place. Loosen them and you can take the blade out, rotate the scraping surfaces, and re-set the blade. As far as the new tool, I am currently working on getting a .308 and 6.8 version of the bolt cleaners out now, but have already begun work on a tool to clean not only the bottom recess of the bolt carrier, but the interior sides as well.

I just took this spin yesterday and it's fantastic! It works much better than the CRT-15 for cleaning the bolt itself. I seriously hope you get a MIL contract as I would have loved to have this as part of standard kit.

Any guesstimate on how long before you will be accepting orders and/or shipping your BC cleaner?

No, no estimate yet. Still working on the design and specifics.

I am planning on being at the Big Reno Gun Show this week. Look for our table. Anyone planning on going?

Dont forget to put a bolt cleaning tool on your Christmas list, or get one for a friend. They are the perfect size for stuffing a stocking. Happy Holidays.

I bought one from you folks at the Reno show. I have used it on about 12 bolts, and I am 100% satisfied with it! I like my rifles to be very clean, and this speeds up the slowest part of cleaning AR's. I used to scrape with the other side of wooden q-tips, and could spend quite a while doing it. Now the bolts get cleaner, and takes only a minute. Great product, I would definitely recommend to any AR owner!
