Default WTS: *SOLD* S&W model 64-5 4" (.38spl, pre-lock pre-MIM)

Been meaning to sell this for awhile, it just sits in the bottom of the safe. Up for sale is one nice shooter, a S&W model 64-5 4" "heavy barrel" square butt .38 Special revolver - aka an old cop gun. Just the gun, no box or papers and it's no collector; great as your first revolver, your only revolver or something you want to tinker with. Shoots true and solid, nothing funky done to it other than polishing the internals to smooth out the trigger. I will include a modern S&W blue plastic case with the sale ($15 on eBay) for safekeeping your gun. The lockup and timing are OK and the gun has some small scuffs from holster wear - nothing major, it's just not in perfect condition so we're all clear about what "shooter" means.

$SOLD

Now that would make a good first home defense gun, somebody else here was looking for their wife... And for under $400 like he was looking for. Wish I remembered who it was. Looks pretty nice to me!

Good Luck with your sale.

I've been lucky to happen into some good revolvers lately, so time to get some of the safe-sitters back out into circulation. This is the kinda gun that's meant to be taken out and shot to enjoy.

aye, it's a k-frame. The model 60 is the j-frame.

Can I buy those beautiful grips from you or I'll trade you for some stock Model 29 grips.

NOTE: the grips in the 2nd pic are not included with the gun by default, they're expensive -- the picture was an example only, sorry.

OK, so the first grip digs into the hand, the 2nd one isn't available, the 3rd one looks kinda ugly, can we have the 4th grip? I love invisible grips!
