Default heads-up - S&W Model 19-8 snub @ Alquist Arms (Turlock)

Fellow Smith-nuts,

Was in Turlock yesterday and swung by Alquist Arms -- they have a blue 2.5" barreled Model 19-8, on consignment, for $499. The gun is mint -- action/lockup was just completely solid. Uncle Mike's rubber grips. No box.

(This was the last run of the M19 IIRC -- it's pre-lock, but has MIM trigger, hammer, and the triangular thumbpiece).

I would have bought the gun (and be ing about it here)... but I just couldn't make the timing work -- I'm not gonna be able to get back there in 30 days to pick it up -- so someone go git 'er!!

That's a reasonable price for a rare (in CA.) wheelgun.

Yes it is. Went home last night and dug out the SCSWIII, and it looks like it indeed was the last run of the Model 19 snubbies, probably in 2003 or 2002.

I can't emphasize what a fantastic action+trigger this little gun had...
