Wow, check it out.

5" full-size, fixed sights.

Only $2950. Well, they probably didn't update their web-site yet for the "California price" like they have on the CQB.

See: http://www.wilsoncombat.com/p_tactical_elite.asp

Dang for that price you could buy a true custom. Don't get me wrong, I own a Wilson and they make a great 1911, but I think they're asking too much.

Yeah, I didn't mean to say I'm going to run out and buy one.
It just shows their confidence in the CA market to bother to certify such an expensive gun, I think this is the most expensive one on the list.
Although I'd bet they didn't send in 3 of them, but got them added "by petition" saying it only differs cosmetically from their CQB. Only costs $200 plus annual listing fee that way.

I have to agree, for 3K out the door I can get a full house custom from Yost-Bonitz on a Colt or Springer frame and end up with a much better gun than any semi-custom

Then again, you could also buy three Kimbers, a Kimber and a M1a, etc., etc. They are nice but I can think of several different gun combo's for that kind of money that would come first. But like bear said, good to see them offer it up in this state.

I have a Wilson that looks like this but mine only cost about $2800 a few years back. They the Wilson's shoot very nice and will give you a lifetime service.

For that price you can buy a LB TRS AND a Premier II, and either will outshoot the Wilson.....

$3000 is too much money for a semi-custom 1911.
