So far the lowest price I found was at Budsgunshop.com. $20.00 per magazine. The first mag was purchased directly form Umarex. $29.00, I was so anxious to fire off my new .22LR.

Im not a huge fan of the Colt. The whole safety lever thing bugs me. Ill wait for the S&W to come out.

Default safety lever

the lever is pretty nice...its easy to switch from safe to fire without changing your grip.

its a U.T.G. carry handle...I got it from amazon for $30 i think. It's Identical to the handle that comes on the carbine model, they have similar handles on ebay for less but I didn't want to wait on them to arrive, they are from china.

Bought a knock-off EoTech sight. Not sure how accurate the sight it, but I'm taking it to the range for the first time tonight to test it out.

So I'm actually kinda shocked at how well the sight worked. Being that I paid $60 for it, and that it is no where near the same technology as an actual EOTech (this sight is just a bright LED that reflects off the glass, and is not at all like the holographic laser in an EOTech). The down side is that I noticed a little more of a parralex problem than I would have probably with a more expensive sight. But all of that aside, it worked pretty well.

Zeroing it is really just a guessing game. The elevation and windage adjustments don't click, they just spin freely. So once I set it for about a 10 yard shot (that's all I could really get out of the indoor range), if I had to make any adjustments for closer or farther shots, there was no exact science to know how much of an adjustment I made, making it very hard to go back to my first zero. And that being said, I'm not really sure what an optimal zero distance would be for this sight. Need to take it to an outdoor range with some more distance to figure it out.

Once I did get it semi set up, right away you could tell a difference. My main results came from a friend that was there with me (who had never really shot a rifle before, and thus would hit the target maybe about 3/10 times at 10 yards with iron sights). Once I put the optical on, she was able to give me a decent group of about 7/10 shots in the exact area on the target I had her aim at.

So overall, for the price paid, it's a decent sight. Would I take it to a competition or into a tactical situation, probably not. But for days at the range, it'll be with me every time now.

You can find these sights on Ebay, usually under EOTech Replica. I found mine on craigslist. If nothing else, they do look good on the rail.

The 'happy hole' is the pin hole which secures the auto sear to the lower....

Its rather odd that an AR15 manufacturer would have an engraving which would allow you to locate/drill the autosear hole in the proper location...

I guess I was a little confusing. I meant that I'm waiting to make my next purchase. Haven't found a grip yet that'll fit. I've heard you can get any aftermarket, but you'll most likely have to drill a new hole to install it.

TD456 - Yup, it's true when I bought the Ergo Grip a few months ago, I was thinking just remove the original grip and slap on the new grip. Nope! had to guesstimate the hole I had to drill. While drilling the hole I was off by maybe 1/8", but no problem got out my dremel and made the necessary adjustment & everything work out fine. Love the grip it's a little beefer than the original. I'm glad I did it.

would it be too much trouble for you to post a picture of where you drilled the hole in the pistol grip? Im sure there are a ton of folks who want to upgrade but dont know what to do. Im sure i could figure it out but it would be nice to not stress about ruining a new pistol grip.

thanks.

Default Colt .22lr

After reading some of the gunbroker auctions it kinda made me regret buying one. Then I thought when it breaks I could use it for a paddle/pogo stick/plunger or dildoe. Seriously it sucks how some people got bad ones. I guess it's hit and miss. Mine functions pretty well when it's clean. Don't know about the long term reliability of this thing. Hope she last a while. I've probably put more than 2.5K rounds thru and it's still going.
Here she is on the right next to my .223.

Piglith! The hole diameter for your rear pin looks like the failure type hole. Its larger than the diameter of your rear pin head.

I just noticed it as i was looking through this thread after posting up my pics.
I'd call umarex and ask about it.
good luck.
