No. Blow guns are illegal. Guess the legislators think we'll turn into south american natives and shoot poison darts at everyone.

i don't think it would pass the drop test... plus it has a foregrip! definitely off list. we could not endanger our great state with this killing machine.

Are pea shooters really illegal?

I know blow guns are prohibited (even though you can buy them at just about every flea market I've ever been to in CA) but PEA SHOOTERS???

If a blow gun counts as any tube from which I blow projectiles (out of the gutter, fellas) then, when I made a spit-wad shooter out of a straw in 5th grade did I manufacture an AW???

LOL

Haha i remember in middle school we would take those large straws from 7-11, then take a sewing needle, then cut off the plastic ends of our shoelaces, tie a decent sized knot through/around the hole of the needle and push it through the cut off and frayed shoelace end, and then spend all day shooting each other with them in class

that ish would sting but was so much fun!

blow guns are illegal? Since when? I remember ordering one online when I was a kid, I think from cheaperthandirt or something. That thing was a blast, and pretty accurate, too.

Lost the mouthpiece and most of the darts, though, think I still have the tube around somewhere.

Blowguns are illegal. But then again, so is any piece of steel tubing laying around my dad's machine shop...

Quote:
12582. Any person who knowingly manufactures, sells, offers for
sale, possesses, or uses a blowgun or blowgun ammunition in this
state is guilty of a misdemeanor.

12580. "Blowgun," as used in this article, means a hollow tube
designed and intended to be used as a tube through which a dart is
propelled by the force of the breath of the user.
Although, it does say "knowingly" So I'll plead ignorance

I remember as a kid, certain fast food joins had perfectly sized straws for you to fit a tic tac in. Those things packed some heat when you launched them. Other places the straws were too narrow, couldn't work.

It specifically mentions that it has to be used to launch a dart.

So paintball blowguns and pea shooters are perfectly legal. And that's what you own if you're ever questioned.
