The Interstate one at Big 5 (for around $275) is a great deal and a nice gun. Yeah, it's Chinese, and yeah, it's still good. Exposed hammers, easy to take down and do maintenance on, a lot of fun on the range, especially with clays over short distances (and sometimes even lucky long shots). Don't get the cheaper Century model -- it's not constructed as well and feels flimsy. When you feel the sturdy steel receiver and walnut stock on the Interstate 99w, I think you'll see what I mean.

I've also heard Stoeger is good, if you want to buy American and pay more (nothing wrong with that). No exposed hammers on that model, and I've thought about buying an upland model.

I love double barrel shotguns!

Stoeger isn't American.

Remington has one. Made by Baikal Arms of Russia. I've been looking for one to see what the fit and finish is like. It is marketed as a Remington/Spartan.

Stoegers aren't that much more expensive. One day I may pick one up.

I like that stoeger double defense shotgun. My next shotgun is going to be side by side and I think I might go with that stoeger.
