Increase in permits issued are great.

However what really needs to happen is for the rules to change on how they are issued. We need to be issued a permit no matter what county we live and no matter what our cause maybe.

I see no reason I have to provide a good cause if I am not a criminal.

Now reality is the only way that would happen is is Sacramento changed the rules for CCW issue. And we all know how likely that is.

I am somewhat luck as I happen to live in San Bernardino County where permits are issued reality easily. The sheriff quote in the article is the local sheriff that issues where I live.

As I have posted here before I am currently pursuing getting my permit. However I have been having a problem with one of the permit requirements. You need to provide three reference letters and have so far only been able to come up with two.

The few people that have known longer than a year as is required are at least not gun people at most are anti-gun.

Sorry for the long rant.

Your references don't have to give "permission" for you to get a CCW... they just have to state that they know you and believe you're level-headed, responsible, etc. and that they understand that you're applying for a permit.

I under stand that. I can get all the references I need until I tell them what it is for.

Seems as if most of the people I know are afraid of "the common man" being able to carry a gun.

Unfortunately Californians have been brainwashed for a long time into believing guns are evil.
