Default Spencville Range Clean-Up Interest

Sacramento Black Rifle would like to arrange a Spencville Range Clean-Up and is willing to pay for a dumpster/container for this clean-up. If anyone would like to volunteer their time, please email me with suggestions of dates and times that would work best for you, so that I can coordinate this with the Spenceville wildlife area. Sundays would work best for the shop hours.

If anyone has any contacts with the Spenceville parks and wildlife please let me know so that we can get this setup. I was out there last week and it definitely needed some cleaning up! It is the worst that I have seen it in a while and we do not want to give the antis a reason to shut it down.

Lets not plan this day specifically for cleaning, but shooting after!!

Thanks Again,
Rob

Isn't that a state game refuge? You may want to contact the region DFG headquarters for that area and see who you might want to talk to about scheduling.

sargenv introduced me to Spenceville about 14 years ago or so. It's a shame how much it gets trashed up, I'm glad someone is looking to organize a cleanup trip.

Has it been that long? It's likely been since I went with you and your bro being the last time I was there to shoot..

I'd like to help with the cleanup. I can bring my truck and help pack some of the trash out of there if necessary.

I'll help if it's on a day not already tied up. Weekdays work great for me also.

Yea I think you might as well go to Orovile if the bridge is still out???

This is the way I normally go, but by car of course.

Hey this is something I'd like to do provided it falls on a weekend that I don't already have booked up with other stuff. I wouldn't mind picking up some trash if I can check out some of your guys black rifles, etc. I'm in the process of building my first AR (slowed due to possible impending job layoff) but I can bring some leather gloves, my .17, 10/22 and .270 for afterwards.

The area is administered by DFG out of Oroville.
If I am in the area when this is going on I'll be there.

Bless your hearts for working on a clean up day for this range. The majority of people who shoot on this property would care less if it shut down due not keeping it clean.

Let me know a date and time, I can probably make it.. It's probably my favorite place to shoot.

Stupid suggestion, maybe someone could bring a large magnet if they have one, there is a ton of steel cases out there, might be an easy cleanup.

Not a bad idea, but there were 55 gallon drums left there as trash cans. Of course, people had shot them all up. So, I don't know if leaving behind trash cans works too well. In addition to being shot up, many of them were outright overflowing with trash. Seems like the pickup service out there is infrequent.

Sounds like a plan dude!

I can bring gloves and a couple boxes of bags, and I can haul out what I can fit in my car.

I can't do the 15th (reno gun show) but before and after is good.. Let me know.

9th is good for me if it's good for the DFG and everyone else.

I have 2 24 packs of coke ready I can bring and I will hit the mega mart and grab some trashbags.

Default Let's get it on!

The ninth will be the official day which is this Sunday. Tell all your friends and family. Bring your rake, shovels, trash bags, trash cans and guns. Cleanup should not take that long. Let's start at 8am to get it done before the crowd arrives then we can shoot too. If you have any questions call rob at Sacramento black rifle in citrus heights ca.
