Question IAC 982 Hawk owners....quick question

Bought an IAC 982 Hawk new from another member.
Took it out to the range for the first time. Everything was great, except when it came time to reload. Was having helluva time trying to insert the shells in fully into the magazine. They went in but only after about 50 gazillion footpounds of force. I've shot 870's before and don't remember it being this difficult.

Question I have is - is it usually this much of a thumb-buster with this shotgun (new)? Will it smooth out/be easier after normal wear/tear?

I only put about 20 rounds through it cause my thumbs were pretty much done for the day.

Because light travels faster than sound, that's why some people seem bright until you hear them...

I have a 982 and it's really easy to load, so I would say no.

Hmm, sounds like the previous owner might've done a complete disassembly and Improperly reinstalled the Follower and Spring.

Sounds like a Binding problem.

Keep us posted.

What akjunkie said.

Clean the mag tube out and make sure everything looks OK and installed properly.
