Default Olive Drab vs Foliage Green

Looking to add these colors for my next build. Are they're any head to head pictures or sites that compare the colors?

Neverending projects!!

FG is more on the lighter side, while OD is darker:

Foliage green is awesome, that's all I have to say about that. OD is way too green, and soed not look as good against a black rifle in my opinion.

depends on the build.

i think an M1a would look pretty wierd with an FG stock but sweet with an OD stock.

have to ask;

are these grips and handguards F Green? The stock is what I think of when I think of OD.
I was looking to gather together an OD set/ parts bins were under flourescent lighting.

^^^^^^^^^^^^
Looks black to me. Take a photo of them NOT laying against a white background. White backgrounds tend to make everything look darker since the camera (I'm assuming a digital) is automatically setting its aperature & "shutter" speed using all that light reflected off of the white background.

It's almost impossible to compare colors from photographs. It's also almost impossible to get a matching set of colors unless you stick with a single manufacturer, and even then it doesn't always match.

So true. Unless you have seen it first hand, stick with one manufacturer.

Great idea of using the same manufacturer; I try that next time.

Thanks for the suggestion of using a darker background, JB.

That stock is OD. Even though it appears brighter in this photo, it has that underlying olive hue, whereas the sage green has an underlying ash grey hue.

+1...i'll be looking for that during my build. I prefer OD to FG. but TRUE OD green doesn't have a shine to it. if it's shiny, it's not real OD green
