Inaccurate.

Some specific Colt models are banned by name. Namely the following:

Colt AR-15 (all)
Colt Law Enforcement (6920)
Colt Match Target (all)
Colt Sporter (all)

Other Colt AR-pattern rifles that do not have the above markings are legal. There are some Off-lsit CA-legal Colt receivers.

The grey area is with the 6940, it has the same markings on the lower as the 6920. It may be too grey for some dealers to transfer, and may be closer to the edge than some owners wish to be.

The 6920 model IS specifically banned by its model number...there is no maybe about it.

I would suggest to stay away from Colt, RRA etc. The officer may not know the difference in model numbers..then your without a rifle and generating some big court bills. IMO

Well hold up a 6920 and 6940....they are two very distinct models...easy to identify either model.....

They are identical to the markings on the 6920. Different model, same rollmarks.

You need to pan left to see the big difference between a 6920 and a 6940.
