Default Some days 10 day waits aren't so bad -10mm edition

At least on pickup day.

I recently purchased 3 10mm handguns from a fellow calgunner. While I was waiting for him in the shop I noticed they had another in the consignment case.

First the consignment gun:

It's a Smith & Wesson 1066. It was described as unfired and certainly looks it. I was already interested at $675 but they mentioned it had the box and some extra magazines.

I guess that's a few! 10 magazines, box, manual and the original cleaning kit. All unused. I paid asking price without a counter offer.

Pics of the guns I was actually there to buy:

S&W 610

S&W 1006

S&W 1076

Family Shot:

To top it off upon returning home from the Gun Vault I found a USPS package in my mailbox:

Lone Wolf 6" longslide in 10mm on a 21SF frame. Range reports coming soon. I probably won't shoot the 1066 but all the rest will be regular shooters.

I definitely didn't plan on acquiring that many that fast but sometimes it's nice to see how things work out.

VERY nice! I have one 1911 set up for 10mm. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

Thanks. My first handgun was a brand new 1076. I got addicted to smiths early!

Being a 10mm guy myself, I'm impressed that you found so many 10mm's in one place! 3 10xx series semis and a 610 revolver?!? Why can't I get lucky like that? AND a longslide 10mm Glock?

[jealous]Great find, you lucky @$$ SOB![/jealous]

Curious, what other 10mm's you got? I got a Kimber Eclipse, Colt Delta Elite, & Glock 29.

It's a pretty long list of 10mm's now. Too long to list but favorites are still the 1076, G20SF, Delta Elite, Bren Ten, Javelina, 5" 610, Kimber Target and the Eclipse. Still looking for a S&W 1026.

Great pics! You need a Delta Elite to round off the 10mm with a 1911.

I'm becoming more partial to the 1006 myself. Now I need to cut down another pair of those Hogue grips to fit the 1076.

Darn! I hate missing all the fun. I've been trying to snatch a few more 10mm's, but keep missing the posts AND the consignments.

Yep, you gotta love those 10mm pistols! To me the recoil is not any more than firing a 1911 with 230 grain bullets. However, it sure does get there a whole lot quicker and penetrates deeper too.

I certainly do love the looks of my Colts and Smiths & Wessons in blue luster steel. Then my Kimbers are a great piece of artwork too! However I carry one of two GLOCKS in 10mm backed up by a Smith&Wesson Airweight.
