I'm a current CCW holder in CA State Park. I am confident that I am NOT allowed to carry in a CA state park, but my friend says the law recently changed and that permitted holders are allowed to carry.
I think he may be confused with some relatively recent news on National parks, or maybe I'm just late to the party? Can anyone shed some light here? |

That is what is posted at that link. It is an e-mail from the Superintendent of Public Safety Services for the California State Parks.

There is no exemption anywhere (even for 830 PCers) except perhaps in the concept of preemption. I looked a few years ago for a codified exemption and remember when a member of CalifoniaCCW/CalCCW sent an e-mail to the Parks Dept. and got that response some months later. I'd like to know their legal reasoning. Anyone up for a PRA?
