Talking of fairness, how about those of us who already had freebies wait 3 full days before grabbing the next item? That way we give chance to others who have not had any freeby yet.

You got to be fast but fair. I have gave up a few things I wanted and waited for the next thing I needed to pop up.

Also most of the things I list are worth far more than those gave to me so I think it is fair in my Opinion.

The giver should set the rules of his offerings. On another board I frequent that does this, I've seen people offer stuff to anyone with less than x number of posts, more than x number, LEO only, military service, etc... Seems to work really well.

Been away for awhile... looks like it's moving along quite well.

I'd like to take a moment to suggest something here, if I may... Since everything seems to be moving along quite well, lets keep in mind those that are giving and not asking for anything. By that I mean the CalGuns Foundation, NRA, CFRTKBA(?), 2nd Amend. Foundation, and others, as well as our friends and families that are overseas. They are fighting for all of us and only asking for alittle donation or occasional email/phone call to our politicians. Even if you just send $5 for the things that you have gotten. Even some old magazines and/or DVD's that we don't look at anymore, instead of collecting dust or being recycled. I think all of you in your hearts, are with me on this... It's great that we give and get but there are those that are giving alot more for all of us. You don't have to post or mention that you did... just keep those that are fighting for all of our rights in our hearts and minds. I have to occasionally have to be reminded also.

Also if somebody has any connections to get some things to those overseas or know of any, I'd like to hear from them. Either thru here or PM. My last connection has been rotated back to the states. It might already be out there just I haven't seen it. I don't frequent all the forums but I think most frequent the sale forums. Perhaps start a thread to gather stuff to ship to them.

Thanks guys.... and thanks to all who've participated in this thread (even tho I didn't start it)

Just my $.02

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming....

Here's a thread in the WTB section that is helpful for donating overseas: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...=100742&page=4 I posted a question in there 2 months ago and no one has responded to it yet. I have a lot of magazines and DVDs that I would like to donate, but I don't know who to give them to.

Call up a local recruiting station and they will tell you where to send it to. Just tell them you have already served and they will leave you be and try not to enlist you if you are afraid of that sort of thing.

Should it be that way or givers' discretion?

Only one person has paid for shipping with me and he offered to pay for the brass (maybe cuz it was alot of brass). I miscalculated and he got alot more than I said it was (450 pieces instead of 300). I hope he was happy with it even tho he paid for his own shipping. (He said he was anyways). Other than that I've paid for shipping and I think most, if not all, have paid for shipping out.

BTW: I heard Cabela's takes DVD's to ship to our troops. Haven't checked since I'm not close to one but next time I'm in Reno I'll look. .. or if someone is close to check on it(?)

When I started this thread, the person who gave me the Sig mag would not even let me pay for shipping.

I tried to have it so that the giver paid shipping here. That way, the taker got something absolutely FREE. However, that rule was immediately broken by the first person to claim something here.

It's too difficult to really enforce, so it's pretty much up to the giver.

If shipping is only going to be $2 or $3, I would just eat it and ship it to the taker for free. (Just my opinion.)

What is the holster for... more info please.

SVT, I have a standard trigger group and standard grip I don't need out of a RRA lower kit. Could you use them (or anybody else)?

Trigger group and grip goes to SVT

I'd like to have the 16ga slugs and maybe some of the "loose ammo"(try me, I have guns in over 40 calibers but no .222's!) if you are ever in area of Ammo Bros, I rarely get to Burbank area.

I have some items I could list up I have to dig out of storage. Nothing too great, probably stuff like a plastic trigger face 1911 trigger and plastic mainspring housing taken off a series 80 Colt, .303brit stripper clips.
