Default FFL Transfers

Hello,

What is a fair price for an FFL to FFL transfer? I want to buy a 700 action in stock at an out of state dealer. All local shops want $80.00 + DORS seems a bit high to me.

Thanks for your input.

No such thing as a "fair" price IMO. The area and market dictate that. In S. CA, I pay $70 total for DROS and transfer. Your price seems a little higher.

At Vandenberg's Rod & Gun Club we charge $25.00 for DROS if you purchase the firearm from us. If you purchase the firearm from anywhere else there is an additional charge of $25.00 for use of our FFL.

Only problem is we are a membership club open to active duty/retired military and federal employees.

No such thing as fair price. It varies from FFL to FFL. Interstate that I have heard the lowest here in SoCal is $75 including DROS. FCA in Simi and IAC in San Fernando.

My Fee in the Sacramento Area is $35 for transfer and $25 for DROS. $60 total. I am looking to build a customer base so a lower fee is well worth the effort spent.

Contact David Chan who's is Sunnyvale and a member here.
He charges $45 transfer plus $25 for DROS. I believe that additional transfers on the same DROS are $20.
So, if you buy two long guns at the same time, you pay $90.

Cash Loan Inc. in South San Francisco charges $80 total including DROS. They don't do OLL stuff though.

Thanks for the plug... Yes, I charge $75 (including DROS) for out-of-state transfers.

In the south bay . . . go to Roger's Relics in Santa Clara. For one long gun, $65 including DROS.

It is illegal to charge more than $35.00 total for a PPT. Go get your $10 back or use word of mouth advertising against the perp. I always like the PPT's because I sell other things including (future services)when transfering. So $10. + DROS is fine for PPT's

I sell Magazines and Bullet Buttons here at www.goldenstatetactical.com

I fall into the "Kitchen Table" catagory. I've been doing it since 1990. Low overhead means lower prices. I charge $45 including DROS for out-of-state transfers.

$50-$75 + tax on out of state transfers. DROS included. No tax on PPT or FFL transfers within CA unless gun is new and no proof of tax payment can be provided. Yeah, that's right. I'm the TAXMAN!

Sonoma Firearms in Antelope, Sacramento County charges $50 for 1st Long gun and just $10 for each additional long gun plus $25 for the DROS. PPT by law is just $35 total ( both party's must be present to sign paperwork) OLL freindly. 916-761-0209

For Camarillo, I'd highly recommend Uncle Paul's Exchange in Ventura.

I did a PPT there ( I was the seller ) and they were very nice. Do not recall the price.

That is a great price. You handle BB/Raddlock firearms?
