Default I'm getting my first .22!

I found a ruger 10/22 with a synthetic butler creek stock, and the factory wood stock, also has scope rings for 230.00 shipped. I'm excited, never thought i'd be excited about a .22. I got a question about ammo, I ordered 4 bricks of remington golden bullets from cabellas. then I picked up 2 bricks of winchester 333 from walmart, I opened the box to check them out and was suprized to see that the bullets seam kind of loose in the casing, Is this normal? I haven't recieved the remingtons yet, so i have nothing to compare it to. Any input on ammo prefrence would be appreciated. Thanks.

Talking 10/22's offer pure shooting enjoyment!

Congratulations! I love shooting rimfire. Your .22's sound just fine. I believe you are saying that the projectile will turn in the case, correct? Totally normal. Get out there and enjoy your new rifle...

Can't lose with the 10-22. Every gun owner should own one.

I just got my Ruger 1022 about a month ago too. I'm on a college budget at least for the next six months and i wanted to get something inexpensive and low power - it's turning out to be pretty good for that!

Congrats on the 10/22. You've already got some fine firearms, but you're gonna absolutely love the 10/22....and with ammo prices these days, well...

That was my nudge to get it, think to myself "everyone needs a .22"

I've had my first gun, a new Ruger 10/22 also, for about four weeks now. I love it! Yeah it's tiny but like stated above, it does seem like the kind everyone should have around, and I'm really loving the ammo prices. I put a 3-9*40 scope the other day and got it all dialed in yesterday, super fun. Also installed today a volksquarten sp* automatic bolt release (was getting kinda peeved at having to push in the stupid bolt lock) today.

Fun!

Congrats on your purchase! The Ruger 10/22 was the first gun I ever bought; picked one up for $69.95 about 27 years ago and still have it to this day. It looks alot different now because of the things I've changed and accessories I've added but it's still the same trusty little carbine that has served me so well for nearly 3 decades.

My first rifle was a Ruger 10/22 and I just love it. I've now upgraded the barrel and trigger and it just makes it more fun.
Also, with the difficulty in finding bullets the .22LR is still the cheapest to shoot. Enjoy!
