Default Is Big 5 an FFL?

I've looked at a couple FFL locaters and searched my ZIP code and none are close enough. I know Big 5 sells guns but are they also an FFL that I could have guns I bought online shipped to?

They are an FFL but may not be willing to accept, I assume you are referring to, out of state purchases.

Yes, many Big5's have FFLs, they have to in order to sell firearms. But, would they be willing to act as a transfer dealer, I dunno. You'd need to ask the manager, as mentioned above, but IIRC, someone asked before and they didn't offer that service.

The one near where I live handles PPTs. I'm not sure about out of state transfers though.

we are an FFL, but we don't do transfers where you can ship a firearm to our stores. Sorry.

They are required by state law to do long gun PPTs. Since they don't sell handguns, they don't have to do handgun PPTs.

As was mentioned above, yes they do PPT's. They are required by California law to do PPT's for long guns.

I tried to PPT a yugo 59/66 and was told "We don't have the paperwork to do that transaction."

I told him he was full of s*** it's a 4473 and if they didn't have any of those that no firearms could be sold legally.
He told me it was company policy. Whatever they're lame!

They're not lame, they're breaking the law! You could contact CA DOJ and let them know so that they can put them straight.

Make that "Traditional" long guns. They don't OLLs or "non-hunting" type long guns.
