Here are some info on Promags in general and may need to be done on other brands for Saiga 12's
See picture below ![]() To the left is your stock saiga 12 mag and promag to the right this picture is the rear lip of the mag closest to the mag release lever or mag lock i meant Notice that the width of the tallest section of the lip in the center. Saiga's stock width is 10mm, while Promag the width is 14mm Here is where the problem is because of the extra 2mm on both sides of the lip at certain applications the lips will rub against the two walls that holds the mag release which has a width of 10mm the same size as the stock mags ![]() centered shown with where the extra 2mm on the left sides needs to be filed down ![]() According to source from Promag these were made wider to fit the varity spec's of Saiga 12's and because most are not all the same spec's per Promag in example different coversions out there for pistol grip conversions and Saiga's it selfs are not always the same specs they made the lips wider. and from my expernice that i have seen many of the coversions done here such as Pete's and PRK's Most of the times these mag's need a little TLC the rear lips of the mag needs to be file down to size as the same as the stock mag and center as the same size as the release lever between the 2 walls. This is not something everyone will need to do so far the chances right now is 3 of 7 rifles and on the ones that does not require this mod the guys were extremly happy of the fitment of the mag's cause there was zero play in the mag and it is sure sturdy as hell |

I just checked out one of my AGP 10 rounders and it looks like the stock Saiga mag. It seems for the most part people prefer the AGP's to any other aftermarket mag. As always, YMMV... and I still haven't shot any of my mags, because I can't pick up my S-12 until next Tuesday...
