Default WTS: Colt Elite IX NEW REDUCED PRICE *SOLD*

For your viewing pleasure...a Colt Series 80 Elite IX GCNM in 9mm. This is one of 750 made. Features include - an EGW melt bushing, Wilson Combat 2 piece guide rod, extended slide release, extended safety, commander hammer, high rise beavertail grip safety, sear, disconnector, sear spring, hammer strut, speed chute, hex screws, and extended mag release, jeweled national match trigger and barrel. Sights are 3 white dot adjustable. All work was professionally done by the gunsmiths at EGW. Other than test firing by EGW, this baby is unfired. As an added bonus, I will include, at no extra charge, that's right folks, I'm talking absolutely free, a faint idiot scratch! Not done by EGW or myself, my dad did it. Asking price is $2000.00 now reduced to $1600 obo. Not looking for a trade on this one. Money talks. This is a rare gun, and I'd like to keep it in California. It's not on the list, so can't ship. Would like to do PTP at City Arms or Bay Area Gun Vault. Buyer pays xfer fees. For an extra $20.00 I'll include the felt lined Guide Gear aluminum pistol case. Feel free to PM questions.

Red face

yes, seriously, that's what killed the whole deal for me, jewel work to me ruined the whole gun's collector's value, it's like a pimped out Mercedes SLR McLaren, if you lower your price accordingly however to cover the cost of sending the piece back to Colt for refitting, I might be interested, free btt nevertheless for an otherwise nice piece

BTT
Remember folks, the asking price is $2000.00 o.b.o. And the work was done by Evolution Gun Works or EGW.

You didn't happen to save any of the original Colt parts when you sent the work to be done by EGW did you?

Could you give some idea of it's potential as a target gun? For example, do you have any targets saved of a good grouping, or even just an estimate of a 5-shot group at 25 yards? Anything like that? Thanks. Interested, but unfamiliar... I did see one of these on consignment at Jackson Arms, several years ago, but didn't know anything about them at the time.

I really couldn't tell you. My father had the gun built years ago. I think it was only test fired. If he had a target, I couldn't find it. It should be a real shooter. He never fired it. (Long story)

Can you remind me, is this a 'Series 80' safety type of gun?

Still interested, but...

You know what, that's a darn good question. I don't recall. By the looks of it, I'd say yes, but will confirm and post for sure tonight. I've not handled it much so I don't remember. If your worried about the dreaded Series 80 trigger pull, don't forget the pistol was completely worked over by EGW. Look for confirmation tonight.
